How do you actually get a person at WOW to help you on an issue in the game------WHERE and HOW do we reach them actually??? Is blizzard just running a bot???
Via the Support link in the upper-right corner of the page.
Assuming your issue is something they can help you with-- they aren’t able to help with every little thing we can think of, just keep that in mind.
Gm staff are constantly answering tickets that are submitted, perhaps if you share what the latest issue was you opened a ticket for?
Keep in mind what a GM is able to do is limited to policies set by the developers, so things like fixing bugs are not with in the gm repertoire. Bug reports can go directly to the GM staff via the bug reports you put in game.
Ticket times are running about 2-4 days, maybe more or less depending on how many tickets are currently open. Though a ticket is not always a means to have a conversation with a GM, though if they need more information they will certainly ask.
The trouble, Foxiemini, seems to be that you are trying to ask for something that a Game Master simply can’t do. That is give you credit for something that they cannot verify you have completed. We tend to refer you to sites like Wowhead because our staff is not generally able to provide what we consider game hints.
While you are a customer, part of playing an MMO is figuring out a lot of the ins and outs of the game and game content. The best we can do is verify if we have any known issues/bugs around the issue, which the Game Master did.
With that said, I’m going to go over some things to help clarify your issue.
You are claiming you should have received the Springfur Alpaca mount, but there isn’t any indication that you qualify for it. You claim you fed the alpaca and should get the mount, but it is more than just feeding the alpaca once. You must feed it for 7 days, once you do you’ll receive another quest that allows you to receive the mount.
You completed the quest “Alpaca It Up”, which is a daily, and it seems like you assumed you completed the quest “Alpaca It In”, or perhaps were unaware that there is an entirely different quest.
I don’t have access to all the ins and outs of this process but it looks like you may have fed the Alpaca maybe three times so far, not seven and did not completed “Alpaca It In”, which would have awarded the mount.
Additionally, at no point did our staff say that all customers are liars and cheats. We said we cannot accept screenshots as proof as they are easily manipulated and though you may not have, not everyone is honest. Folks do unfortunately take try to advantage of some situations, that is not remotely close to “all are liars and cheats”, which is extremely disingenuous.
Edit:
I will say, if you have attempted to feed the Alpaca again, meaning you found it on another day and did not have the option to complete the daily, that is another issue entirely and would need to be looked into by our QA team. Have you returned to find the Alpaca on a another day?
Hello,
Ok I fed the Alpaca all the seven feedings, It popped up saying quest was completed-------EVEN though I had not actually picked up a quest—I began feeding it all seven feedings.
It said "Friendly Alpaca Quest Completed "
NOW below that says: “Mount: Springfur Alpaca”
That last is in red.
NO other quest was given to me at all and no mount was received.
So 7 days feeding, quest completed as shown in the screen shots I took. No Mount and there was no quest given to me.
This was done on my main character Flamesheart
So if i was suppose to receive a new quest from the feeding of the Alpaca, I was not given it.
As for QA, and Bug Report and ticket-----as far as I can tell from your support page I have sent in my complaint. So if what your saying is that i should have received a new quest for the mount------where is it?
As for verifying You most certainly should be able to follow my toon and see that the feedings were done, I have offered the screenshots I took also. I know that this can be checked by GM’s-----and if WOW can not check that then perhaps other games can teach you how.
I have no issues figuring out the game—have played for YEARS. I do however have an issue with being sent to web pages that expect basically other players to help when it is an issue that the game itself has.
I know you can go an see where it has been fed, I know you can see the same thing that I see on the screenshot I have showing it completed. IF there is another quest THEN please add it to my quest log and we will be done with this entirely.
I went and got more greens to try to feed it again to see if it was simply a bug------NO, I could not feed it again at all.
As for the Liars and cheat part-----that is simply playing with words. I have come to you with a true problem, offered you what proof I have. I pay , like everyone else, if You have 1 or 2 people that do this to you then by all means do not take screenshots from them, but to imply that all people who pay for this game are MAYBE going to fake their issues-----That is saying none of us can be trusted.
When we lodge a complaint, it is because there is a prob that should be attended to. Not be told that what proof we can supply to help you with this is unacceptable due to your being worried about someone taking advantage of you!
If Blizzard’s logs don’t show you having completed the requirements, then they can NOT give you the mount. As Vrak stated, they do not accept screenshots as proof as those can be manipulated, and they can only go by what their logs show. Have you gone back and attempted to feed the alpaca more as Vrak asked?
Be sure to do the feeding when a new daily (Alpaca It Up) is up. Attempting to feed the Alpaca again on the same day will not work.
Yes I have tried to feed it again, BUT you and Kyzera have offered more advice and I WILL try to feed it again, but the last time I tried I still could not feed it again, But I will try again and I will make sure the daily Alpaca it Up is in play.
Honestly, I thank you all for your helpful advice and information, I am sorry I am upset, but I do appreciate all of the information and help ya’ll are offering me, it would have been nice if the guy who answered my ticket would have offered what ya’ll have offered.
I don’t think any of us could disagree, however that is what’s considered a game hint. Game Masters (the ones that answer tickets) are expressly forbidden from providing those if they wish to remain employed.
