I’m max level, and I want to go to the Molten Front to tame a special pet there. Thing is, I need to be able to do part of the Hyjal quest chain to do that.
Thing about that is that I can’t use Chromie time to get the Hyjal starter quest, and all my attempts to get the quest from the Warchief’s Command Board fail because Hyjal is apparently buried under more starter quests than my quest log can support, thus I can’t just brute force accept all the starter quests to get to it.
I did Farseer Krogar’s intro quest where you look at the Maelstrom, but he’s not offering a quest for Hyjal. Emissary Windsong and Ysera, likewise, are also not offering quests.
Am I just hard screwed on getting to the Molten Front?
Nope, don’t have any. I initially had the issue with Magni being in Hyjal instead of Ysera, but I finished that questline real quick and Ysera showed back up.
Farseer Krogar is supposed to offer a quest for Hyjal after his initial Maelstrom intro quest, called Disaster at Mount Hyjal, but for me he’s not offering it.
Yes, I’ve flown there manually. The Molten Front portal doesn’t show up until after you do a few intro quests for Molten Front, which requires doing part of the Hyjal quest chain.
There should be a portal there on the portal island in the capitol to get to hyjal so you don’t have to fly. Then once you are there, there are a few quest givers right in front of the building to kill some elementals and stuff.
If it’s not turned on, turn on tracking for trivial quests.
I never remember having to do the eye of the storm.
I’ve just teleported directly to hyjal and started questing.
I know back in cata you had to do a minor intro before the portals opened up, but they should be there full time now.
I know there was a time you could start it by finding a questgiver in Moonglade, but I’m not sure if that still works … tried to check on my dracthyr who I was confident had never touched cataclysm content, but the portal to Hyjal was already unlocked and I could just pick up the Hyjl questline from the two quests right there.
I’m apparently incredibly stupid, I went through the quest chain for Hyjal on WoWhead and ran the quest completion flag line for each quest until I found one that was false, apparently I got 7 or 8 quests into Hyjal at some point and then just dropped the zone.
Happens to the best of us.
Happens to me quite a bit with the amount of toons I play. Drop a quest here and there and lose the tracking of where you left off.
It is the Cata quest chain yes? You can either do it with the time walking stuff or just go in and activate low level quest tracking, go into the zone. I think it begins on the far left side of the map up on the top of the road.
