How do I report these people?

I queued for Timewalking as tank. Got accepted to a group. Couldn’t port in because the group was in combat. They refused to stop combat and let me port in. After enough time had passed I was then kicked from the group, having been denied access to the content I had queued for. I GOT A COOLDOWN TIMER ON REQUEUEING. This kind of opportunity for griefing other players cannot possibly be desired behaviour so I have logged it as a bug.

My question now is how do I report these players for “anti-social behaviour”?

That’s a good question. I’ve had it happen with LFR too.

You don’t, you can’t report someone for being in combat.

Unfortunately there’s not a lot that can be done. Was it anti social yes, can it be reported unfortunately not. Groups can decline for any reason and no reason.

Thing is, you actually can’t. Although as much as it sucks, thing is, they really aren’t violating any policies. So, even if you were able to report the players, nothing would be done, since nothing was violated.

I do think it sucks that we can’t teleport to the dungeon when a boss fight is engaged, but sadly, nothing can be done about that here. If you wish to provide feedback, or have a suggestion, anywhere in regards to not able to teleport to a dungeon while group was in combat, or the vote to kick system, might I suggest providing that feedback/suggestion either via In-Game or Dungeons, Raids and Scenarios forums.

Oh my mistake. Did Blizzard get rid of that ‘social contract’ that they got everyone to agree to? The one about not being buttheads to other people for no reason?

Where did it said you can’t be in combat because someone want to join the dungeon? Where did it said that everyone had to stop what they’re doing to let someone in?

It is always interesting when people refer to this and makes it obvious they didn’t read it

The social contract (and the ToS behind it) still apply.

But what happened to you doesn’t contravene that according to the only opinion that matters: Blizzard’s.

I would appreciated if you did not chose to be sort of rude with your response, especially when I wasn’t rude within mine. And a couple of things to point out:

Here is the Social Contract you’re prompt in game.

Hail, traveler, and welcome to the World of Warcraft! Azeroth is a living world full of people like you - other players with different backgrounds, cultures, experiences, and histories who have all come together to play World of Warcraft. Every player deserves to have a world that they feel safe in, so please take a minute to read our Social Contract.

While in Azeroth, do your best to:

  • Connect with other players and make friends! Being courteous in group content can help you and your teammates have the best time possible. Sending a friendly hello message can help set your group up for success.
  • Play as a team with your fellow players - whether in dungeons, raids, battlegrounds, arenas, or out questing in the world. Do your best to support your team through your communication and behaviors so that you can all celebrate your success together.
  • Assist other players that you encounter in the world. Maybe they need some help defeating a tough monster, or maybe they could use a little healing!
  • Help answer questions others have in chat channels like General or Trade. We were all newbies once - one person offering some help can go a long way!

We recognize that the Internet is not always a safe haven. With that in mind, please note that the following behaviors are not accepted in Azeroth:

  • Hate speech, including negative comments that target another player’s identity, including aspects like race, gender, or ability
  • Harassment, threats, or abusive / derogatory language and behaviors
  • Spamming, advertising, or other disruptive behaviors
  • If you harm your fellow adventurers with any of the above behaviors, you are subject to punishment up to and including suspension of your account.

It’s a big world out there, with all sorts of people in it. So please try to be respectful of each other, and if you ever feel like somebody is acting against this code, please report those behaviors so that our team can look into it. Together, you can help us make the World of Warcraft a safe home away from home for everyone.

This here is a mere reminder of Blizzard’s In-Game Code of Conduct and End User License Agreement in what you can, and can not do.

Along with the support article posted by Sniperorc, there is nothing Blizzard can do, because there is nothing being violated. And has always been like this. Groups are empowered to chose on how they want to managed their groups, whether through queued content or forming own groups. With queued content though, the group has to agree with the kick in order for that to pass.

How ever, not able to enter a dungeon when group is engaged in combat is something people can’t control. And there is no policies stating that the group has wait for someone to join the group, or let alone, can’t remove a person from the group.

As mentioned, if you wish to provide feedback or have a suggestion about it, I’ve already linked and showed you where to go. Sorry if it is not the answer that you want, but sadly, this is the current stance on the issue, and Customer Support isn’t the place to make any suggestions on the current stance.

It is important to understand that that “social contract” is in two parts. The first part gives advice on how to create a better gaming environment for everyone. Which all boils down to “be nice”. It is the second part that covers the Code of Conduct and what behaviors may result in a silence or suspension from the game.

Not being nice doesn’t otherwise violate our Code of Conduct though. Obviously, if they were to cross the line into inappropriate behavior, such as using inappropriate and toxic language towards you, that would be a different matter and you’d use the right click report option to report the chat lines used.

I am sorry that the players you were grouped with did not give you an opportunity to join them in the dungeon and subsequently removed you from the group. There isn’t anything inherently against policy in those actions otherwise being kind of a jerk move. Hopefully, your next group works out a bit better.
