but its not a hack though? I just need to report a guild name.

so i cant open a ticket anymore? why not? i tried opening one but it kept sending me in a loop. best i could do was rerport for harassement.

Create a quick chara on that realm and them hang around till you see a guild member.

problem is its on a very populated realm and im trying to go to sleep. havent slept all night.

the guild name isn’t going anywhere unless someone beat you to the report, Write it down and try again some other time.

ok i will do that then. ugh cant figure out how to send email in outlook. :frowning:

There’s a report option for name if you flag the post.

But you should be reporting what you see in game, as the armory might not be up to date, and essentially that is where the forum pulls name data for.

so even though it says flag username it will also flag guild name? cause like i looked up the guild roster and now im even angrier. okay i sent report to email. thanks for helps.

No. The Hacks team has nothing to do with GM duties like enforcing name or chat rules. Their job is to handle security and cheating issues, esp the research and detection methods.

Do not use Hacks as a work around for reporting a bad name!

EDIT
Umm, just realized that came off a bit brusque. Sorry about that.

Good morning. sets out coffee and tea for everyone. I need lots today I think.

No, very much no. All the ways to say no. No. :dracthyr_no1: :dracthyr_no2:

People can still use a normal ticket, and they can specify they were unable to report in game, but they should not be emailing Hacks. The normal ticket might get kicked back with a recommendation to use the in-game or forum reporting flags, but yeah. That is the only option.

I’ve wondered if there was a better way to report inappropriate guild names than sitting on a character for hours across days to catch a character online. Although it probably won’t do any good to make a suggestion to add something like this to the armory on the guild pages, but if, anyway, I wanted to make a suggestion for the websites rather than for the game itself, where would I do that? The Website Bug Report forum would not be the appropriate place, but the in-game suggestion tool also didn’t seem like the appropriate spot either.

There’s really not, because when you see the name on Armory or the forums, it may have already been changed and it just needs to update. The name may already be flagged and the GM hasn’t logged on to do a rename.

The only way to know for sure that it needs to be reported is to see it active in-game.

It always does good to make a suggestion. Even if your particular suggestion isn’t taken, it can help them see that players are wanting some kind of change.

If no other forum seems applicable, then General would be a fine place. You can also use the in-game Suggestion feature, as well.

well i kind of already did that. will i get in trouble?

No, they more than likely get mail all the time for things that they cannot help with.

I mean, it’s a publicly available email. The spam alone…

how do i specify this?

If the guild name is as bad as is being implied here, it would be reasonable to assume that it has already been reported and dealt with.
