Of all the expansions I paid a box price to be able to play, only “vanilla” and WoTLK can I log in and play.
How do I play any of the other expansions I paid to play?
Is there a paragraph in the TOS that says we’re paying to play the game until they decide we can’t play it anymore?

I’m confused. Why can’t you go back and play other expansions? No content was removed.

How is it living in the past? If I open my CoD game, it’s still there. I can play it like I paid for it.
You don’t buy games anymore. Haven’t since like 2006. You buy access to games, which can be altered or revoked at any time.
That sure seems like a bait-and-switch.
I’ll take stupid things to be enraged about for $50 please.
as a matter of fact, yes, it’s in the EULA.
Why, so you can buy a game you lose access to in 12 months??

I think the reason this is coming to mind is I’m thinking of quitting, and them I’m like, “hey, yeah… what happened to those other supposedly unique games I bought?”
You don’t have to buy them. You can wait two years to play the content for just the subscription fee. In a sense, you’re really playing for early access.
Yeah, that is a little obtuse on purpose.
They weren’t unique games and never advertised as such. They were expansions on an ever changing world. You still have access to them.
You can go n level up in em, also can turn off xp for a while til you clear all the content in em. You’re welcome, fam.
Also, helps to read the terms you click agree to before clicking agree. 
Less than ten seconds of thought would help you come to the conclusion that maintaining dedicated servers for every single expansion that has come out would be incredibly stupid.
