ive waited days for a human to reply to my tickets. i just got 1 automated copy paste reply. i need answers on why i was banned for hacking/botting when ive never used hacks or bots dont even know how if i wanted to, ive had my account years, and im recently disabled, i play long hours/days, being in a wheelchair you dont have many options. there are tons of bots and boosters constantly running around spamming trade services killing huge groups of mobs but they are never banned or dealt with it they were then there wouldnt be 1000s of them there are more bots then players it feels like ive reported, screenshotted, and recorded them. but somehow i get labled as the cheater. this is stressful and what makes it the most stressful is i cant get any answers or the evidence, reasoning they claim im a hacker or cheater… if i was hacking why would i be reporting them literally everyday for spamming and botting. why would i waisted my time helping other players… why would i even care about the only account i have, i can barely afford to pay the sub every month. i cant afford to start over, all the time i have invested into my classic and retail characters. this is so ridiculous.
When you appeal an account action, it isn’t a means to talk to anyone; it’s just asking someone to go over the logs. They’re not going to debate on what is or isn’t related to it, nor would they be there to talk out of the account action.
The email would give you the general idea what it fell under. They don’t give you details or what they found as it’d what botters would want to know as how they was found out.
As for everything else in the post, it isn’t related, won’t be taken into account nor would it matters to them as it has no bearing on the account action or outcome.
Hey Banndfornada – just put another appeal in. It’ll go to another, different individual, whom may see different things in the logs.
Good luck.
Will never be shared, period. Blizzard doesn’t give out that information. While there are players who would take it to heart and try to do better, it is also information real cheaters and botters would love to get their hands on to keep trying to find workarounds with Blizzard’s detection systems.
One thing that’s easy to try and rule out is whether you have any programs on your system that may be used for illegal play - even though you may not use them in tandum with WoW, only to help you do other things. Programs like AHK and things of the like, perhaps some software to assist you in working/playing with your disability in mind. These are things Warden can pick up no matter their use. Context for them does not matter as to why they’re on your system. Just being there is enough to get an account sanctioned.
You don’t. Only Blizzard employees have access to them and you’re not entitled to that data.
Absolutely not the case. I know you’re upset, but please let’s leave the tin foil hat theories and hyperbole at the door, please.
You have no proof of this save for the same thing people have been screeching about since the day the game was released. “WoW is dying!” “Mass exodus!” “Players leaving by the thousands!” There is no proof to any of that because Blizzard does not report those things anymore. All you have is player say so and it’s no more or no less than it is any other time when an expansion is slowly drawing to a close.
Appeal, and appeal again until you’re warned that no more will be accepted.
you don’t.
they’re blizzards logs.
you are not going to be presented with any sort of “evidence”.
this isn’t a law court.
maybe you should just stick to your issue, instead of making odd claims.
i don’t think it’s helping.
i dont even use spotify when playing ive heard people banned when playing spotify, and controller programs for xbox or ps controllers… my computer has hardly anything on it. i didnt know they keep logs and evidence to themselves but that makes sense, ive been making ticket after ticket and only got 1 replied was a automated reply 3 days ago, on the day it happened. i dont use anything for wow that isnt download off curseforge. im just upset cause ive been doing the samething since july 2023 when i started retail again, ive put so much time and care into my characters, i avoid everything i can so this doesn’t happen to me. ive been playing the same account off and on since 2008
If you are using programmable keyboard/mouse macro’s to automate game play, that can be classed as automation/botting, just as an example - particularly if it breaks the one action per keypress rule.
Absolute BS, I’m sorry. You really shouldn’t put too much faith in what other people are saying - depending on where they’re saying it. Here, we’re governed by one another as well as the Mods and SFAs. Only facts and truths that have been vetted by actual staff are posted here, rather than all the crazy stuff folks like to spout.
You should only have one ticket at a time up and in the system. You’re going to get warned about harassing staff after a certain point. The appeals process takes time for them to go over logs each time.
Sometimes false positives happen. It sucks and they hate it as much as the players do. You just have to let the appeals process work. Folks get their sanctions overturned quite often around here when that does happen. I’m sorry you’re in this position and there isn’t really anything I can say to make it easier, save for that the appeals process does work. It takes some time (sometimes too long, but that’s just my opinion), but it does work itself out in the end.
Good luck to you.
thank you for letting me know this but i dont i just use the keybinding on action bars i set up, f keys 1-6 shift+q e r t f g ctrl+ q e r t f g, and the interactive key set to backspace, only use stuff in the games options ive found to help, my keyboard is basic and mouse is basic wit just two extra buttons
Im not sure what you mean but if its more then one action per keystroke thats deffinately a flag. You need to understand that you didnt get anything automated template response yes but not automated.
How’s your appealing going?
Recently got banned and same goes with this issue. No bot/hack used (in my conscience). Trying to reach to a real person or GM that can discuss my appeal but Auto-reply phrases all day.
Apeals are averaging a week gota be patient and please start a new thread instead of necroing a thread also all apeals are handled by a real person automated not bot or automated.
You can’t.
The appeals team only respond to tickets. There is no way to plea your case.
You can keep submitting appeals until told no more.
Yes, there will only use templates - this is by design. It’s still a person investigating and issuing the response though.
No, you said
An appeal is not a discussion. You asked for an appeal, and a different person looks again to ensure there is not a mistake. If there was a mistake, they will overturn it. If there was not a mistake, it will not be overturned.
There is no “auto reply”. They use templates to ensure everyone gets the same information, but a human being looked at your appeal and responded.
Let’s leave the dramatics and histrionics at the door. Everyone is treated the same. Just because their investigation didn’t end the way you wanted does not mean it wasn’t proper or you weren’t treated any different. At some point, players need to take responsibility for their actions, and admit they broke the rules.
GMs look at every appeal. You’re just not going to have a one-on-one dialogue about the issue. Every time you appeal, a new GM looks over the data with a fresh pair of eyes. An appeal is not for you to plead your case.
Also, linking some streamer and using them as evidence of anything at all is a bad idea. They’re not reliable. They can say anything and everything for the views and nothing more. Around here, we work with true evidence and information that has been backed up immeasurably by Blizzard employees.
No, I said no to you wanting to discuss the case with a GM. I did not say no to a GM looking at your appeal.
well true.
I’m thinking this in different perspective. Lets say a player(like the steamer/youtuber) didn’t commit a cheat/hack and got banned. Then get unbanned after further investigation (meaning no hack/cheat committed).
Question is,
- Why did the player got banned in the first place?
- What if the person that got banned appealed and only talked to customer service that give out same reply every time and suddenly you cannot send anymore appeals?
- How do you know that the appeal was properly investigated? (when you only received same reply every time)
-
None of our business. That’s between Blizzard and the player.
-
If they say no more appeals, that’s it.
-
Seriously? The last thing Blizzard wants to do is apply account action against anyone.
Sigh…
Warden detected something on your system or something in your playstyle flagged their systems. A GM looked over the data, deemed that you were in violation of the rules and applied the sanction. You’re never going to know more than the information provided in the email with the broad “cheat/hack/bot” category. It’s nothing against you personally, but more in-depth information is exactly what the real cheaters would love to get their hands on. So Blizzard stays vague on that side of things.
You’re getting templated responses that a real live GM is sending out. It’s nothing personal, but it’s the one of the time-saving measures they use to streamline the process. It keeps the information going out uniformly. Every major company uses templates. Blizzard is no different.
Because especially of late, we’ve been seeing a fairly regular stream of people in similar situations who have gotten their sanctions overturned. Contrary to what streamers and the talking heads on Reddit or other similar platforms like to believe - real people handle the sanctions and the appeals. People can make mistakes, and Blizzard admits they’re not perfect.
It sucks being caught up in the process, but the appeals system does work. Is it a little clunkier and slower than people may like? Absolutely. But when mistakes are discovered, Blizzard admits the fault and fixes the situation.
One big flaw that is prevalent in a lot of these cases, especially of late - there isn’t some message sent to most folks that their case is being escalated for a deeper dive into the data by a higher tier of GM. Most are unaware of this happening unless they come here and one of our SFAs tell them so. Perhaps in the morning when they get back into the office, they can take a peek into your tickets to see what is going on in your instance.
Thanks For this. Seems like I just need to be patience with my ticket then.
Appreciate y’all time.
