I use Herb and Mining, and have like 400 this entire xpack. Wanted to use it to buy more points for those skills, but unsure how to gather more of this stuff?
Wowhead told me to craft items with crafting prof’s, but i only use gathering prof’s so i’m rather confused.
It linked me to the item on wowhead, where most comments just complained they can’t get enough of the item, and other comments stated “First crafts” gave some. but again, I just use gather prof’s.
And I didn’t know that Pearlight. Wonder if I put some points into the Infused part of the prof’s, I’d get more? Maybe I’ll give that a try.
Double-gatherers only get AA through KP gains. So you have lots and lots of gathering ahead of you (and don’t forget to do the weekly quest for each profession in Dornogal so that catchup KP drops once you’ve gathered your weekly quota)
I wouldn’t bother doing that fancy borderline-exploit stuff on a gatherer at this stage of the expansion ( there’s a big catchup pool of KP available if you just keep gathering and you should get 10-20 drops per half hour )
Also, rather than buying the +10KP books for 200/300/400AA, I would focus on getting rare-quality tools (blue 590 gathering tools require 300 AA each to craft). On the other hand, the renown reward +10KP books typically cost 50AA and give back 50AA, so you can pick those up from the appropriate quartermasters basically for free.
There’s a blue quest at the Mining and Herbalist trainers which I think gives Artisan’s Acuity.
I really hope in Midnight that Blizzard just makes this a Reagent only and allows patterns and buffs to be bought by gold/level.
There is definitely something broken in the acuity system. I have 40+ gathering characters and all but one of them has acuity. But one of them has absolutely NONE and a few only have 10 -20.
They have all got roughly the same skill level in both gathering professions, and roughly the same number of skill points, but for some reason just one of them has not received any acuity.
Literally just through the gathering catch ups and the Patron work orders. Keep in mind the Catch ups through gathering, the purple ones are one week per account, and the blue ones are random and can be really, really sparse.
Also I think buying the Rep skill boosts is a net gain to Acuity.
I would also wager that Skinning is the faster way to get the catch up items, as you are procing the chance more often.
