How do I get into Mythic+ for the first time?

Sign up for 2s or even 3s… then youll get a key … every time you time a different key with higher key you get a rating… you can run your key or join other keys which you ll need score dosent matter if your 393 or not

Or just ask for a key from the NPC in valdrakken, save 15-20 minutes.

I’m not sure I’ll ever try this stuff. I did a normal (not even heroic) Nokhud Offensive run for quests and there were lots of deaths. The Ruby Life Pools seemed easier, though.

Nothing happens to you in real life when you die in game.

just get a key from doing M0 it will automatically be a +2 and then run your key or try to do other people keys. the higher the number the harder it is. with no experience you want to do the lower numbers like a +2 really isn’t that hard compared to M0 you should literally time it no issues if you don’t then idk something is wrong tbh.

pretty much just gotta do um and practice/learn. affixes are different every week and what not but other then that it’s just basically a timed dungeon with extra mechanics.

in the end it has it’s own issues but you play with good people and relaxed people it can be fun. other then that it’s w.e. you make of it.

I would disagree. It was frustrating and added more time to the run. Both of those affected me in real life.

If a video game is affecting your real life, you should stop playing it.

I’m glad you have never experienced anything other than 100% happiness when playing a game.

For me, I play what makes me happy. Dying a lot does not make me happy, which was why I originally posted that I can’t see myself doing m+. It would likely be frustrating.

I’m enjoying other aspects of the game.

Last question - do the keys still expire every week?

I know in New World with Mutation Dungeons (same idea as Mythic+), once you unlock a dungeon level, it’s permanently unlocked.

But if I recall, in OG Mythic WoW days, the keys only lasted 1 week and then you gotta go start over from 0 each week. That still true? Or was that wrong.

I don’t take it seriously. It’s entertainment.

Dying has no consequence, why would it be frustrating ?

Your key is only as good as you can keep timing it. At the start of the week, you get a new key of the same level as your highest timed key in the previous week (or a key 1 level under your highest key if it was untimed).

It’s very easy I litterally signed up for them on my poorly geared warrior and just completed them?

This is just misinformation.

OP please do not let this negative nancies of the forums stop you from enjoying the game. Get to 70 do some mythic 0s then fully enchant your gear it costs less then 500g to fully enchant now.

My warrior hit 70 two days ago, and I didn’t waste any time trying dungeons and it was a very enjoyable time.

If you have a friend you want to do keys with that’'s even better for you.

Additional tips: Timewalking can start you off with a 359 set if you want to do that before keys.

It’s frustrating because I play 1-2 hours a night and don’t want to spend it by dying, losing gold, and wasting my time. I choose to spend my limited time playing content I enjoy. It’s really as simple as that.

I came here to read about m+ and I made a comment that I don’t think I’d enjoy it based on my past dungeon experience in DF. I thought someone would be positive and say something like, “nah, it’s not so bad. Try it out, you might enjoy it!”. I guess I was being too naive and got trolled. So I’m out. Good day to you!

That’s fine. But at the same time, playing lukewarm content where there’s no excitement doesn’t sound entertaining to me.

I feel you came here to tell us you don’t want to do it because you don’t want to die in game because it somehow has an impact on you in real life.

With your obviously made up mind about Dungeons, you had no other reason to come into the thread. If you were truly open minded, you’d be open to the idea that dying in a dungeon is what makes the dungeon entertaining.

Ok, so I ran a M0 and got a +2 key for Court of Stars.

So, I can only do a +2 Court of Stars now, right?

“Signed up for them.”

Yoooo that’s crazy that you just happened to get invited into multiple +9 and +10 keys in 350 gear. What’s even crazier is that you just happened to end up in a bunch of keys that were exclusively filled with members of your guild, almost all including people in 380-390 gear. In fact, only 1 of the dungeons you did on that warrior wasn’t a full guild group, and that one only had ONE person in it that wasn’t in your guild, and that one person was in 402 gear and had over 2000 score (for a +2 court of stars).

Haha what a crazy coincidence. We really are living in a small world. I guess I really am just being a negative nancy.

You don’t have to lie. I mean guilding up is definitely a much faster way to go about getting into keys, but don’t act like a bunch of pugs just invited you to their keys and it was no problem when all of your keys are full guild groups.

If you’re having trouble making friends or getting into groups I’d be happy to join you for keys

It’s similar and a lot easier than getting into a raid group.

Just an update - I finally ran some M+ dungeons.

Got up to +10 without the timer on two dungeons, and I got +++M5 on another one.

Seems like the hardest part is just getting into groups in the +10 bracket, but having my Pets Primal Rage “Lust” increases my chances of getting picked.

As you do the dungeons try to get folks into your friends list and keep in touch with them.

Getting 7-8 like minded folks on your friends list can really make all the difference in the world.
