they can,
every playable race in WoW can reproduce with each-other
we don’t see them in game because that takes effort, and this is blizzard
Didn’t they cover this in sex ed?
From what I understand…
holds up two dolls and smashes them together
It isn’t hard to believe there’s a possibility. Though remember this is all fantasy, so a LOT of logic is out the window. Interracial children is plausible but depends on such VARYING biology is how much of a chance and plausibility can make it happen.
We did in fact have a Orc and Draenei offspring, Garona for example (Who’s suppose to look awfully human with green skin in comparison to any other female orc). Half Elves are very likely the most common half/hybrid breeds to expect due to very human biology, same with dwarves and gnomes. If you were to make a stark difference from…say human to a tauren, very unlikely, better at winning a lottery at that point but again, Garona exists, so it isn’t out of the question. Orcs and trolls? One’s an alien on Azeroth, the other naturally appeared on the planet, so who knows whatever DNA difference that is that makes extremely difficult.
Putting all the semi-realism aside. Just don’t expect so many half/hybrid races but it is possible, just who is willing to…well, go about that… Yeah… And of course, Blizzard would need to make models for them too.
Well, when a Body Type 1 and a Body Type 2 get together and have feelings towards each other…
Some races in wow are capable of breeding together. Just look at garona, half orc half dranaei.
Not all are campatable tho id guess.
Despite the fact that humans are evolved from titanic constructs, they are now organic, same as the elves that mutated from trolls.
Origins don’t mean as much since they were mutated with the curse of flesh, and are no longer robots.
There’s a dwarf-gnome couple, and even a gnome-human couple. Ofc people are explaining the half-elf Arator as well.
I’d say that it gets a bit different with the “beast” races, with the exception of Worgen since they are just cursed humans, and wild worgen are another race altogether.
The beast races, similar to the titans, come from giant animal gods that created children in their own images, thanks to magic and other forces, millennia ago. I believe the Tauren/Yaungol/Taunka all descend from Niuzao, the Ox god, while Pandaren and Furbolgs come from an even older bear-race, the Jalgar, which may have been created by Ursoc. Worgen come from the pack form of the wolf ancient Goldrinn.
TLDR- Animal-people come from animal-gods that saw other humanoid races and wanted something in their own image, since all the other deities were kinda doing it. I don’t think they could procreate with other, different animals, since, well, animals have their own unique genetics that aren’t compatible. The more humanlike races are different, so interbreeding may be possible. Elves are already visually similar to humans, and not just the purple/green Night Elves, but specifically High Elves and Humans. Night Elves with Human children may not be possible, but who knows.
I’d like to see a Night Elf and Troll child. Their offspring would basically be a more savage Night Elf, perhaps with crazier hair and tattoos, and even larger fangs.
Two words… compatible genitalia.
And this is the agrument I have against giving the anthropomorphic animal races humanoid sexual characteristics… because then questions like interspecies children come up. On a genetic level it’s impossible.
Humanoid and humanoid is fine, but there’s no reason for tauren and gnomes to be compatible.
This is really a question that should have been addressed and thought up during World Building.
Human plus Windrunner sister is a dev self insert fantasy.
…
I don’t think this is how that happened.
Magical world! We don’t worry about genetics here.
chibi cows would be pretty cute ngl.
Kalecgos’ visage form is a Half Elf. Dragonflight brings us the very first Half Elf model.
Most mammals on earth have “compatible genitalia” but cannot procreate together.
Tauren and Gnomes are both humanoid. Humanoid means 1 head, 1 torso, 2 legs, 2 arms.
Despite dragon breaks making elder scrolls lore so weird they actually have a thing. Any of the humanoid races can interbreed (idk about argonians as they aren’t decended from the same species as the other) but it’s always the mothers species.
you mean half orc half floozy.
Well, the way you think it might be the most possible.
Citizens of Dalaran, raise your eyes to the skies and observe!
Good times… gooooood tiiiiiiiiimes…
