Just how the universe is written, any race can breed with any other really.
Its like that with Star Wars as well, you got cases of races from entirely different planets breeding.
I think the races have to be close enough genetically. Elves look very human like, except for really big elf ears. Though, you think they would still end up with abomination children sometimes (look at Ligers, Lion + Tiger, both cats, most kittens turn out badly/deformed or don’t make it). Other race combos would be like trying to put a dog and a cat together, genetically just too different. Especially with animal like races.
The game is produced by people who have no concept of biology, for people who have no concept of biology.

Why’s it only human/elf has kids yet it takes elves next to forever?
At this rate Azeroth will experience it’s universes heat death before teldryssil is repopulated by even 1/3 of what it was.

Fantasy hybrid races rarely make much sense, but are a staple of the genre. Just don’t think about them too much.
We know Orcs and Draenei can interbreed because of Garona. We know humans and elves can due to numerous examples. We can assume that humans and orcs and/or humans and draenei can interbreed because of Me’dan. We know ogres and orcs can interbreed because of Rexxar…
Other than that, we just don’t know, but we can make some logical guesses… I.E. dwarves and gnomes or humans. Or that most of the beastial races cannot produce children with non-bestial races.
