How do casual players make gold in SoD?

God damn!

From no gold to getting thise drops, you like biggie smalls of wow. Went from ashy to classy.

Nice man.

by 60g you mean 1g right?

Well Soban, when you are the bottom 50% of players, there is a high chance you aren’t using consumables.

Great observation though.

AH materials at low BOT’d cost and flip them thru professions. You can quest but that is limited, takes hours and only good if you need immediate 10g for example. Most people just buy gold on SoD though but I wouldn’t recommend it bc ToS/2week suspension

I think the truth is that actually casual players don’t farm gold period. Actual casual players do dungeons without consumes, do their professions basically on their own to the best of their ability, and probably don’t feel like they have much access to the auction house. They’re outside of the broader economy and are more likely to make raw gold via farming and selling or doing max level quests than anything else, because even religiously carrying things to the auction house rather than existing in the open world/nearby towns isn’t even that ‘casual’.

what? LMAO. there’s no way in hell you spend 60g on each lockout. if so, explain how

and youre spending 60g a raid to not parse orange.

You can look at any of my parses through era and SOD majority are orange.

Im also top DPS in 99% of my raids. (which i shouldnt be).

You die to mechanics on crowd pummeler and parse green.

Also thanks for buying my mana pots off the AH (which are 20 silver each and you are using)

sure, but youre paying 60g for purple.

go find how many mana pots i used.

deaths to pummeler were during the server ddos on wed. also one shot everything else and im pretty sure no one spent 60g to do so :).

the point im making is that your 60g is self imposed. you say youre topping dps when you shouldn’t? because you’re playing with people who don’t share your mindset.

chill and competent raids will get just as far as dmf fully consumed parse raids in sod.

real competitive parses happen in retail mythic where comps that don’t have full armor debuffs dont automatically lose 10+ percentile regardless of personal performance and mechanics and rotations are actually difficult.

Ive been playing wow for many years. I used to have more time, amd as i got older, time became a constraint. Havent played in a while and sod caught my eye so od try it. I managed to get lucky the past few weeks and get both a few clears of gnomer, as well as tons of grime encrusted salvages to sell whether o crafted the materials for helm, traded them for others, or just sold the boxes. Prices have gone down substantially on them lately though so it was good to profit at the beginning

Two words. Auction house.

You are a warlock with no free time. Tailoring and enchanting should be your professions. Make the greens you need for the supply crates and sell them to people. Make other greens with your cloth and de them and sell enchant mats. …

Wow isn’t rocket science. But you still need to think.

You don’t make gold if you play 1 hr a day. This isn’t the game for you.

Go find a better game for you.

I speed run competitively and don’t spend 60g per raid.

Casual dad gamer here - with level cap I’ve twice now dungeon grinded to level cap and then quested at level cap for gold. Professions didn’t cost a dime (tailoring leveled solely via cloth drops & enchanting by D/e of greens - once you hit 70 you can get to 150 solely by making greater magic wands, greater magic essence on AH 14.9s & small wood 30c with wand vendoring for 15.35s - you don’t make a ton but it’s free levels. Might even make some extra on AH). Even my epic head cost me a whopping 5g haha - 2 runs of gnomer got me the mats for it - made my 5 and traded 1 for 1 with guildies. I don’t have a ton of gold, but I’m fairly geared (ilvl 42), have a mount and professions maxed. Next up is getting a full quest log filled for next phase.

Don’t spend money on gear, you don’t need it. Run dungeons and gear up, you’ll have all you need for gnomer. You don’t have to 99 parse to enjoy the game - a guild of fun ppl to run with does the trick.

60g worth of consumes per run sounds like a long night of wipes haha

Flip items on the AH.

Herb/Alchemy and check the AH which potions are worth selling.

Or just go Herb/Mining and think of nodes as little piles of silver you can pick up as you adventure.

It all adds up.

Source: I’m a level 34 Hunter with about 80 gold atm. Saving up for Mount Training at 40.

I won’t say exact how I made my epic for almost free. But after I have the recipe, I checked ah and trade channel, I did managed to craft the head piece with little cost mostly trade loss and ah fee. So use AH is a good way to make money

Players that work as much as you do don’t have that much g. There is no farm more effective than irl farm because the money you make in an hour translates to way more gold than you can make in an hour unless you’re a master AH wizard. That being said I do think that with your time constraints playing the ah slow and steady, buying low and selling higher would likely be best if you can swing it.
