I’ll start, I am really bad when it comes to naming literally anything this can be: characters, animals, babies, discord servers, etc. So, when it comes to me naming anything I always name my characters after foods I once named this character here after one of my favorite gum brands. But anywho I came up with Rigatoni because I like rigatoni.

First toon was this one (2004), and named him or tried to…after Maugrim on Baldur’s Gate, but it was taken, and I didn’t know how to alt- and special character back then. So, I tried Magrum and it worked. Eh, close enough, I thought.
My Tauren Pally I named “Slapdeeback” after something Eddie Izzard said in Dressed to Kill.
My second toon, 2005, was named after the BC Rich guitar I had. The neck on these BC Rich’s are too big for my small hands, so I named him “Warbeast” after one of their guitars.
I have a question for you, every time I see you post something your guild name and achievements are blue why is that?

Almost all of my names are either names or nicknames of family/friends or pets, or just random words like Bluster here. Good real names can be hard to come by though, especially on bigger servers. I recently rerolled one of every class on a new server and they mostly have names made up of two words or are something silly since I couldn’t find my usual names there.

I just stole all my names from my characters I made from EverQuest 1, back in 2001. As far as how I came up with those names, I couldn’t tell you, it was 21 years ago lol. Most I want to say were either random name generator or scientific animal names…I also took a few choice names of friends characters who said they were cool with it.

My friend has a tiny little dog named Nui, this dog is really nasty to almost everyone, and it’s also hella ugly, but he loves me to death. I think it means “big” or “great” in Hawaiian, my friend is Hawaiian. And I am big and great.

I either hit random and then mess with the letters and make it my own, or I draw inspiration from Tolkien.
Not LoTR necessarily but old characters from the Simarillion. I have Vayre, Solore, Nienna, Nuri, Luthien, Melian, Ilmare. . . You get the point.
Oh! I have iynx from Greek mythology as well, and Nephelae.

My toon names mostly came from inspiration. This is not my first toon but it’s a character I always wanted to play because I loved Healers in D&D. And No Evolseed doesn’t mean evil it means “Evolved”…
My first toon is a Worgen druid named Genjosanzo after a gentle pacifist monk who Jouneys to the West to find enlightenment.
My third toon is a cute Gnome mage named Whupitystori after a famous Scottish fairytale. Gnomes are faeries…
My fourth toon a DK Dwarf named Khazadurin after the Royal Family of Durin in Lord of the Rings.
My fifth toon is a beautiful Draenei named Infansolaris which means “Star Child”.
Two other Draenai are named after a famous Roman warrior and the Lightforged Paladin named Solinvictus which was a secret cult of the Roman emperors.
So I put a little more thought into my toons when I name them.
