i thought monk tank was dead last. i sure see less monks tanking than druids anyways.
theres actually about 2 times more bears than there are brewmasters doing keys according to raiderio anyways.

I myself wouldent call it a nerf.
I feel its more like they turned a hard left when they should of went right.
Nah, Monks are really good with the 10.0.5 changes.
Take the hint: join us (make a Prot Warrior).
They rather you don’t play that class/spec.
They think of themselves as misunderstood geniuses, while some outside the bubble see them as talentless hacks.
I don’t think it was there intent. They were starting over with bear because they recognized they made a real crap tree.
I suspect they’ll be buffed ridiculously in the next 1-2 weeks. IT’s a little embarrassing to put that much effort in and make them even less appealing to play.
People don’t understand the real problem with the bear revamp.
It wasn’t just the berserk nerf, although that’s getting the most attention.
The problem is with the tree.
MOST PEOPLE DON’T EVEN REALIZE THIS!!!
Fact: Despite every tree having a different number of nodes and point spots, everyone is stuck with the same number of points.
Fact: Everyone has 10 points to spend in the bottom third of the tree, because everyone has to spend 20 points to get there, but the number of things in the bottom of the tree is different for each spec.
Fact: Last week, the bear tree had 16 point spots in the bottom.
Fact: The new “improved” (lol) bear tree has 20 point spots in the bottom.
Fact: Blizzard actually MOVED stuff into the bottom of the tree that people used to take. But now, they don’t have the points, because while they used to be able to put them into the middle of the tree to unlock the bottom of the tree, now those talents ARE IN THE BOTTOM OF THE TREE.
No it’s not. Idiotic design is the biggest issue.
Here was their “communication” on this:
THEY DID THE OPPOSITE. Moving stuff from the middle into the bottom, and stuffing the bottom with more new talents that people can’t get BECAUSE THEY DON’T HAVE ENOUGH POINTS is not “opening up” the bottom of the tree.
(Oh, and Prot Warriors? Yeah they have 14 point nodes in their tree bottom. So they can pick up almost 3/4 of their bottom talents. Bears get half.)
The way to “open up” the bottom section of a tree is to consolidate and reduce the number of talents. NOT to add more. Any 1st grader could figure that out.
That’s not true. Ignore Pain is off the GCD
Bears can’t even get Bristling Fur off the GCD.
It wasn’t on the GCD originally, but then Blizzard did that big push where they tossed a bunch of Warrior DPS CD’s on the GCD to stop 1-shot Swifty macros, and the Warriors threw a big stink so Blizzard “spread the pain around” by putting entirely random abilities for other classes on the GCD, too.
Bristling Fur was one of those.
They only go by top 1% players so if top 1% players are over performing in a certain spec / class they gonna nerf it they dont care about the other 99%
Bears are not anywhere close to being in the top 1% of anything.
i just went on raider io theres a bear tank at 3k io, want link ?
Here’s the list of top tanks, ranked.
Have fun clicking “next” until you find the first bear.
Not over yet. They are reducing overall self healing 65% and armor 45% in Feb.
Bears gonna bear it.
Bears are honestly not THAT difficult to fix.
This is another example of a nerf to bears over the years. Pulverize used to apply its buff to the bear, so it also worked on environmental damage.
It didn’t used to have a 45 second cooldown, either.
A druid tank must now take more useless talents to get down to the second tier. I don’t recall having to take feral or resto abilities before this. I had to with this reset.
You’re talking about the Druid class tree?
That’s a red herring. The class tree is fine, there are more than enough points to get everything a bear can use.
It’s a waste of breath complaining about the class tree. People need to focus on the spec tree, that’s where the problems are.
