How did I obtain a tier piece I can't use?

Finished raiding with my guild and notice I obtained:

Zenith Obscenity’s Idol: Warrior, Monk, Evoker, Rogue.

However, I was playing as Shaman, so now it simple says I can’t use it.

I’m really confused; is it because I rolled transmog?

Edit: It says soulbound.

Did you roll Greed on it? If you can’t use the token, it shouldn’t be eligible for a transmog roll.

Trade it to someone else who was there or vendor it.

is it bind to warband?

If no one of those classes rolled need on it, you may have gotten it that way. i’ve gotten bows/guns on my warrior for example due to that.

Or this way, didn’t realize this was a thing that could happen til recently-ish, got several warband loot for my alts that way

No, it says it is soulbound.

I still am able to trade it.

Honestly, though, I just find it wierd I was able to get it in the first place.

in DF you couldn’t vendor the tokens, so I’d rather not have to drag to delete loot, i automatically pass on tokens that aren’t for my class.

there used to be a time when you would need on those as a warrior.

I think I’m putting too much blind faith into the system.

Like, at a bare minimum, I expected to be excluded from loot I can’t use.

You have more faith in the devs than I do.

nah, you probably just clicked greed on the loot roll not paying attention to what it was, and no one else in your group needed it so you won the greed roll. so in a way you are excluded from it because you can’t need on what you can’t use, but you can still greed or mog it, and in this case its greed exclusive.

Actually, in this case, I can’t even mog it because I have to synthesize it first.

Not sure it can even be sold cause there’s no G listed.

I almost feel like this is something the devs should correct maybe, somehow.

Nope. It can’t even be sold. In this case you actually have to delete the item and there is no other use at all.

Blizzard is on top of things.

If you select greed on an item, you have the chance to win it. In this case it would seem you did indeed win it.

What’s to correct? Nobody needed and you won the greed roll. If you didn’t want it at all, they gave us the pass option.

you can get warbound tokens

no different than winning a bow when no hunter is on raid

tokens : u can only roll on it if u dont have it already since mostly every1 has 4T now…

It’s similar to shamans receiving a stave (aka staff) off the loot table when they don’t use them. Including holy paladin receiving a two handed weapon…

Yeah, but couldn’t you at least sell those for gold?

Hence - greed?

The only thing I can do is delete it :L
