How did I obtain a tier piece I can't use?

A potential reason the greed button is still there is to allow people the work around for master looter / loot council.

Where everyone passes and then the leader gets everything and then redistributes.

So yeah if you win it through greed the only option is to trade or delete.

There is warband tier tokens that sometimes drop but that’s a separate thing entirely and personal loot.

odds are, if its not warbound, you rolled greed on it by accident if it wasnt a conscious decision and you won the greed roll due to no one needing or not having any of those four in the group to roll need.

unless you were in a personal loot situation then its probably a bug and should be reported.

It’s a raid token that was BoP, so definitely not personal loot.

Im covering all possible bases, and all raid loot including tokens are part of personal loot or was when it was applied to raids. you can um actually over in the corner.

Does it get added to your collection if you disenchant it? (provided you’re an enchanter)

You can’t disenchant a token. They are solely used for transforming into a tier piece by one of the listed classes.

I won a tier token for a DK/Warlock/DH I believe it was in Vault of the Incarnates, just tossed it in the bank as a neat little trinket along with some of the old azerite power consumables, the weeping flower from Emerald Nightmare, and such.

Basically all the tier pieces that you get out of raids come in the form of a class-specific token which effects 3-4 classes, this way they are useable by more than just a single class at a time instead of being like the Legion era tier items that were only available as personal loot.
