How dead will the last season be?

Is season 3 going to be dead on arrival because of MoP? Really bad timing on Blizzards part to overlap the 2.

In what sense

Mop is a “You think you do, but you don’t” type deal. It’s an amazing expansion but these grifters will be back. Blizzard has been feeding us Slop content for so long that we’ve gotten a taste for it.

Anyone playing runescape aint coming back but the ones still on that blizzard lizard will be back

Mop has the potential to last more than a few weeks. :dracthyr_blob_dance_animated: Obviously doomed long-term, though.

Throw a recolor $85 horse mount on the Store that has a vendor that sells Noggenfogger and they will flood back to Retail instantly with cash in hand.

Probably similar to Eternal season

I don’t care if they release that content but so close to the new season? A slow starting season might kill it entirely. They should have waited until midway through S3.

They could just pull a draconic and add 500 free mmr. Everybody was happy with another Unchained. :dracthyr_blob_dance_animated:

Yeah I get it, I plan on playing both and it gives me slight Anxiety because I’m like “HOW AM I GOING TO DO EVERYTHING?” I wish there was a bigger gap between the 2 release dates.

Modern wow designs early seasons to not really matter. There’s the gearing phase where they’re fixing bugs, doing tuning, and mid-late expansion when the season has sort of stabilized and inflation is in is when people start playing.

Also lets you diversify into other stuff, like raids, keys, collection/casual content, or even other games. :dracthyr_comfy_sip: So ye, don’t miss mop launch if you have any interest in it.

OSRS is actually the perfect complimentary game to DPS solo shuffle queues. There’s a symbiotic relationship waiting to be discovered here

OP, I agree and share your concern about the timing overlap. With all my fond memories of MoP, though, I was quite unimpressed when testing toolkits on the Beta… I personally wish Classic would be done away with after MoP with a focus on making the main game more horizontal, long-term and social again, but we all know that’s not gonna happen.

Regardless, I look forward to all the 11.2 patch content and the new season with all its changes and new rewards. I’ll play casually as I always do, try to at least get the illusion as always and then see how much higher I can get from there. I don’t feel a need to get the/rewards anymore, but I’ll be happy to participate and hopefully reap my benefits

It’ll be dead after the first month like always.

Unless you’re an ultra washed mage player there isn’t any excitement.

Queue the whine of godcomp, rmd, lsd, or rock paper scissors matchups soon™

It’ll definitely pop up, but honestly there are gonna be so few players, it won’t be comparable to retail whine.

ill let you know after the first month of the season

Yeah osrs is the best game you play on the side ever, maining it and grinding stats without doing something else at the same time is a good way to burn out and get bored

It’ll probably be way more active than this season with a lul in the middle of it. Last patches of expansions usually are active.

At the end during the last patch before the next xpac, sure. Before then it’s usually pretty dead.

Mop won’t last. They’re changing too much and it won’t feel the same even if they didn’t.

My entire classic experience has been one big disappointment after another because I had my expectations too high.

Nothing will ever be able to recreate the magic of the early days of wow. It was a different time and we were different people
