Man, I leveled up Inscription and was really looking forward to making Treatises and Contracts every week for people’s Knowledge Points and Rep grinds.
Not really even to make a bunch of money, just to be useful.
I look in the Work Orders and it’s always empty.
whassupwitdat?
is it like that for every other Profession? how come?

same. the effort/return ratio is off. they give a measly 1 KP.

I don’t because you can’t specify minimum quality. I’m not spending gold on high quality ingredients, just so some hack can craft me a 576 level item.

Yeah it is extremely rare to see public orders no matter what profession you are. I hardly ever even see orders for no rank items like crests.

Hey if I remembered to make them every week I’d almost have a single mode maybe almost maxed from it

I stopped ordering treatise in TWW since they were nerfed to 1 skill point. It’s just not even worth the effort of placing the order.
I sew the occasional cloak, and craft the occasional ring, but they’re usually not public orders. The public order queue is empty.

Any system that isn’t used by the playerbase is a failure.

Late in the season. I see people looking for work orders plenty though, try trade chat.

If you could set the quality I’m sure everyone would use them.
Blizzard wants to force “interaction” though so here we are.

i forgot treatises existed again for the entire expansion so far just like last expansion because i am bad and dumb
Because everyone was wanting to go back in time to use some trade chat barking add-on to sell enchants and lock box picking services. /s

The catchup mechanic killed the need to worry with Treatises.

I would really like the Treatises to be warbound, all the extra clicks to do personal orders to pass them around to alts is annoying.

You can’t guarantee a 5 star quality in a work order, and I get the feeling this is on purpose so people use trade and talk to people.

People don’t use treatises or contracts anymore because professions are extremely easy and fast to level up (much, much, much faster and cheaper than Dragonflight) and rep is both easy to get and largely irrelevant.
As to “how come nobody uses the work order system?” they do. Work orders are by far the largest source of high-end gear in the game, the first couple months of each tier.
