I mean the cutscenes are there but it’s all silent. I’m so confused

It does for some of them, but the quality of the lines and acting is pretty low.

BLIZZ, I pay FIFTEEN DOLLARS per month to access your quote-unquote GAME and you can’t even give us voice-acting in a competitor’s game.
This is unacceptable.
Literally unplayable.

there’s some cutscenes with the but it’s few and far between in the first part of the game, and they’re all in ye olde medieval speak
later on they add more voiced parts with less weird dialogue

I like how your character just smiles and nods at everything.
Much like the player in recent pokemon games im pretty sure they’re psychopaths. Nothing fazes them lol.
The major cut scenes all have voice acting, as you get to the end of the original game it picks up more voice acting and as you get further in to the first expansion.

Many cut scenes are voice acted. Many are not. Depends on how dramatic the scene is.

Japanese. They’re very different languages and cultures. And they do have English forums.

The amount of voice-acting in ARR content, especially leveling 1-50, is actually rather lacking compared to the expansions. The starting storylines in each of the three cities (levels 1-15) are almost entirely absent of speaking lines… except when you run into the “Scions” for the first time.
It gets more consistent later on.
To put some numbers to it, the ARR leveling storyline has about two and a half to three hours of voiced cutscenes. Shadowbringers, the latest expansion, has over nine and half hours of voiced cutscenes dedicated to the leveling experience.
… or are you actually talking about FF4?
In that case, I think only the DS version has ANY voice acting.

Buff everything else to be on par if need be, but don’t nerf DH!
Carefully retune 30 other specs to be in line with one spec, or nerf one spec to bring it in line with the other 30. That kind of math solves itself. To the ground with Havoc!
Or do neither then. That’s an even better math. 
No, that means one spec is dramatically out of line with 30 others. That’s horrible math.
