Keep Dreaming Meatshield.
True, but for some reason, some people still insist that she is not evil.

< When you say “bye” but you keep responding with ad hominem because you’ve been disproved.
Wasn’t an ad hominem, it was a description.
Because that’s what you are to Sylvanas.
Unfortunately, no, it isn’t.
But I guess you didn’t get that quest text.
Only the good boys do.
Even in RL a lot of people don’t want to be the good guys.
It’s a video game… it’s escapism. What you do in a game actually has no bearing on the type of person you are IRL. It’s a problem if you can’t separate the two.
I already clarified my statement up above.
I don’t care if your Roleplaying.
I care when people literally either refuse to admit what is happening is wrong, or don’t see whats happening is wrong OOC.
Yeah she’s killing Alliance in an expansion about a faction war. I could not care less that a bunch of unnamed NPCs died. It’s just a dumb (and badly written) story in a video game.
Thats what makes it fun tho
I’m not embarassing “Our” kind.
Tauren as a whole generally do not agree with anything that is going on. except a few outliers.
If you don’t share that, then your the outlier.
Dr Phil…? The TV dude? Riiight.
I didn’t say Violence was a bad thing, I said refusing to acknowledge the fact someone does something evil, and supporting them, makes you come across as possibly having issues.
I don’t care if you RP supporting Sylvanas.
I care when people OOCly see Sylvanas Pre-empting a war, murdering her own people, and using her own side as tools to simply get to her own selfish desires, and decide that somehow isn’t a bad thing.
As long as she’s killing Alliance I don’t care. I super don’t care that she killed a bunch of morons trying to defect to the Alliance with a Menethil. And her goal isn’t to rid the Horde of what she deems “undesirable” races, she’s actually included all of the Horde in her plans, so yeah. Not really anything bad there for me.
“The boy in Stormwind will not start a war tomorrow,” Saurfang said.
Her eyebrows lowered. “With Genn Greymane in his ear? We will see.” That was a concern, Saurfang had to concede. In the thick of the fighting against the Burning
Legion, Greymane had launched a mission to kill Sylvanas. It had gotten some of Stormwind’s few remaining airships destroyed. There were whispers that Greymane had ordered the attack without Anduin’s permission, but as far as Saurfang knew, Greymane had not been punished. The implications of that were troubling, and every possible explanation led to same conclusion: the old worgen would always drive the Alliance toward war against the Horde.
Genn’s attack on Sylvanas during the Legion invasion was perhaps the final straw which convinced Saurfang, that the Horde had no choice but to go to war with the Alliance.
Link below to Blizzards site and its short story explaining the current war.
So… Paranoia?
Sounds about right for Sylvanas.
Wonderfully ruthless
Brings the gift of undeath to free you from the mortal coil
Makes the hard decisions which must be made
Understands that true Honor is victory at any cost
For me the entire thread proves how effective propaganda is.
On both factions we have similar body counts, we have killed the same bosses, we’ve followed all the quests to kill. The difference is how its wrapped up with moral twaddle. Everybody we were told to kill is still dead and we were paid handsomely for it.
People often take a completely opposite stance in game to what they may feel IRL. We are generally powerless in our lives buffeted this way and that. In game we are free to be something we cannot be IRL. We can be vindictive, vengeful and carrying a torch for the baddie without consequence.
It’s a story, its not real. We can cheer for whoever we want without it being an indelible stain on our character. Attempting to sit in judgement of others says more about the accuser than it does those they mean to denigrate.
