How can WoW compete with XIV?

When people bring up if I want to go back to XIV I usually say the combat isn’t even good enough to have a PVP scene, why would I do that?

I’ve had thoughts about going back to FFXIV sometimes but there are so many things I remember. FFXIV’s launcher is so trash. It was so bad, I had to install a faster version that looked like it was relevant. I also remember I can’t play the class I want because I’m forced to tank. Just so many things.

their entire account/backend system is the worst i’ve ever seen in an MMORPG. if you’re struggling to give the company money they seriously need a new web engineer. god it was so sad i do not miss mogstation/LodeStone stuff. good lord.

I think I had to watch a tutorial on how to unsubscribe. Or look it up because it was such a nightmare system. Like this company makes millions and can’t design a decent website? Bro with all that cash they might as well make it a bit worse.

Fr, like, who at SE was like, “Oh! Yes, this is such a user-friendly and awesome website design! We should cherish it forever and make our users suffer; great idea!” It’s so ugly and outdated, why hasn’t anyone complained about this? Are people loyal to SE? I’m sorry, but I have not been too impressed with a lot of the SE games I’ve played.

now they sold all their major Western games because they’re losing a huge amount of money. also shutting down a lot of live service games and stuff. the company is a joke and if FFXVI isn’t good i can see it being bought out.

Yeah, I don’t remember 100%. I think I found a way to do it myself or I did look it up I forget. But I do remember having to look up how to do stuff on their website. But you have to keep in mind, I was new to the whole FF website.

I sort of want to buy it but it’s nerve-wracking because I don’t know how it’s going to be. they better have a demo.

i mean it’s your 69.99, i’ll buy it if it’s favored by friends and critics, i’ll let them beta test it for me. i thought XV and FF7 remake were good but a lot of ppl didn’t. also yoshi has only proven himself with MMOs not single player games. the single player content in Final Fantasy is very basic and boring to me.

Just the thought of this game makes me die inside. Personally, much like Minecraft and other games, super overrated in my opinion.

But it does say a lot about the MMO market that it’s WoW’s largest competitor in the West. MMORPGs have been dying for a while! Fiscally and popularly. i WANT ffxiv to be a better game because i’m tired of WoW having no standard to live up to. If only XIV was good enough to inspire WoW to be better

So wait, you’re under the impression FFXIV’s combat is “slow/sluggish” because it’s based around a longer GCD system that “accommodates bad ping designed for a PS3” ?

FFXIV has OGCD ability weaving that WoW doesn’t… specifically because WoW’s net code wasn’t good enough to maintain it…

Wow doesn’t need to compete with ff14.

They both offer a different mmo experience.

Wow has combat and endgame.

Ff14 has minigames/crafting and rp.

He is a Soft player. We get it. He loves trivial games. He should just stick to that game. He should not advertise such trivial game to WoW’s serious gamers. We would just laugh at him.

I dont need to experience that game to know it. I am turned off with its gameplay.

I come to WoW to pewpew and go straight to the action. I dont like long boring cutscenes.

Fights there are like dancing not fighting. Its gameplay is like Dance Dance Revolution, not MMO fighting.

I don’t like how their internal mod looks like during the fights. Those lines. It looks awful unlike on WoW, i am with minimal mods. I dont want to see those freaking lines.

Raid for only 8 players with only 1 boss. And you are comparing it to WoW’s wholesome multibosses raid?

FF players want to have M+ in there. Good luck. With those high latency combat system, it can never achieve the combat system inside M+ of WoW.
