How Can We Redeem/Rebuild The Horde (Actual Horde Edition)

Does the other poster know they’ve been blocked if they try to reply or quote you?

:boar: : “They asked for a gothic look, I gave them a gothic look, I don’t see why they’re biting my head off over it.”

My assumption is that a player is meant to self-insert into the character they play, at least a little bit. I just wanted to play a heroic character that didn’t look the part. I didn’t want to play a genocide supporter, former or not. Reluctantly or not. You can’t change that without retconning out BFA. Because that won’t happen, there’s nothing to fix.

Because the Horde incidentally or acidentally helping the Alliance isn’t exactly what i’d call redemption. In your story, you’d have the Horde rebuild, and then somehow their actions benefit the Alliance. Again, that isn’t redemption.

Aknowledging something is only the first step. If I aknowledge that I have a broken arm, that doesn’t make it less broken.

Then what is the problem with something similar, but with not just Thrall giving promises he may not be able to keep? Why not something concrete?

Apparently every single one of my suggestions take it out on Horde players one way or another, according to you. Is the only thing you’ll accept being the Horde does something, and through a contrived reason by luck or chance that benefits the Alliance? Do you understand what the words “redemption”, “atonement” and “making up” means? It’s not through luck, chance or circumstance.

I don’t know, because apparently none of my suggestions are good enough. You tell me what you think the Horde can do to make up for what they did, in your eyes.

You’re right, it’s not redemption, it’s sweeping Teldrassil under the rug, like Gilneas, so the horde can get away with another atrocity again. :wolf:

On that day, Satan will need a snow plow to get to work.

That mental image made me laugh, thanks :wolf:

No, they can still reply, you just don’t see their responses in the thread. Makes the forums a lot more bearable.

Currently, 80% of my block list is Moonguard Alliance, unsurprisingly.

Because…

Alliance players like yourself can’t agree on what redemption is. Horde does anything and we’ll get people saying “that’s not good enough.” They have to do XYZ for it to be a real redemption.

The story is still ongoing.

Yes, but players like yourself and other Alliance can’t agree on the definition and what satisfactory looks like.

How do you like this version of “redemption”: everyone will forget about the Horde, because the night elves have killed everyone. Now everyone hates them and only then the Horde.
Oblivion.

Dang I want people to know I find their insipid drivel not worthy of my time.

I never use block features for forums but I am this :pinching_hand: close.

You could just tell whoever annoys you, that they aren’t worth your time or effort :wolf:

Just gonna:

  • Atonement = usually used in the context of penitence; is done either to the person harmed or more commonly done for an intermediary

e.g. 10 Hail Marys after Confession for God as Atonement for sins done to others
e.g. Garrosh going through penitence/atonement in Revendreth for everything he did to Horde/Alliance/Otherwise
e.g. Prison

  • Forgiveness = grace given by the party harmed to the person who did harm

  • Redemption = perception of the sinner in the eyes of the community; within a story there is redemption within the narrative (in-universe), redemption to the reader, redemption according to the author

Yall Alliance are being dishonest, for the following reasons:

  • There is nothing that will satisfy you to grant forgiveness
  • There is nothing that will satisfy you to grant redemption
  • There is nothing that will satisfy you to recognize atonement

If I’m wrong, by all means, demonstrate a precise list of demands or narrative terms that will grant all three.

Because all I’m seeing is a bunch of people saying “No” to every suggestion given to them.

Balls in your park.

This is a better game we should be playing instead.

I already gave my suggestions. :wolf:

And then swiftly replied to the person replying to you saying “Actually it’s not atonement, you’re right, my own suggestion doesn’t satisfy me”

I already gave my suggestions. Don’t know what to tell you.

You literally said your own suggestion doesn’t count as atonement after all

So present a new one that does.

Do you mean “Forget WoW”? Or some part of the Skyrim world?
Or - oh, horror! (fake) - Are you curious about the idea of making the night elves “Evil Evil”? And they will beat both the Horde and the Alliance. Fortunately, there are many portals to the Dream.
And then the night elves will be defeated. But this is the moment of power when the night elves will be a threat to both the Alliance and the Horde. And they will destroy both capitals. Yes … Sweet fantasies of a madman (me).

You need to learn to read. I said what Garth wants wasn’t a redemption, it’s just ignoring the elephant in the room, which is teldrassil, and you got the balls to call alliance players dishonest

So this would Redeem, Atone, and Forgive the Horde full stop, period, move on?
