Yeah, it’s almost like the writers have an agenda.
Care to add anything of substance to the thread regarding rebuilding the Horde? Or are you just going to keep insulting its constituent races?
The entire Saurfang story beat in BfA addressed this.

I mean, besides him being sad for participating, WILLINGLY in another genocide, how did it address it? Besides him admitting orcs can’t control themselves or be trusted when someone a position of authority tells them to go on a mass murder spree?
I think I’ll keep insulting its constituent races, now that you’ve got me thinking about it
Did you know that the Zandalari enslaved the Goblins to mine kaja’mite for their high society’s consumption, and then turned around and sneered at all the other tribes who were still using slavery as barbaric once it fell out of fashion?
Honestly, is there a single troll tribe that has something to be proud of?
See? Your priority is
I am attempting to bring about some catharsis in my hypothetical that doesn’t involve Horde players being shamed for their choice in playing Horde.
Point 1 definitely needs to happen before the horde(The faction) considers any other action, or it just comes off as them not caring.
That’s the part people seem so desperate to want to ignore, they GENOCIDED an alliance race. Making up for that should be priority number one.
But if they acknowledge they did something bad in the writing even if it has no tangible impact on how the game is played that’s CHASTIZING them for PLAYING HORDE.
Be more sensitive.
Not my problem people picked the Monsters in sheep’s clothing faction.
That came off crueler than intended.
What part of doing both at the same time is lost on you?
If it involves the Horde accidentaly or inadvertently helping the Alliance then no. lucky coincidences isn’t what i’d call redemption or absolution.
Also, the fact that you think the Horde intentionally doing anything good for the Alliance is shaming it’s players is distinctly a you problem, nothing else.
At this point you guys are just patting each other on the back for how right you are and how Horde players are all apparently terrible people?
It’s telling. Even if you think you aren’t coming off that way, that “Oh I don’t blame the Horde PLAYERS”, it’s sure as hell what you sound like.
So all this is really accomplishing is digging people further into their trenches, instead of even trying to provide a solution like Gantrithor is. Is it a perfect solution? Not really, but if there is a “perfect” solution no one has hit upon it yet (and probably never will)
We’re basically going to go around in endless circles with nobody satisfied at this rate, which is I guess what some people want? It’s hard to say anymore.
The guy literally said he takes any admission of fault/the Horde doing something as a chastisement for playing Horde. I don’t think you’re gonna convince him.
Nah.
Like serious question, I know alliance players get blamed for lumping the horde faction and its players together…but am I the only one noticed it’s the horde players themselves who can’t separate the fact we want the horde FACTION to pay or at least have blizz show that the horde is trying to turn over a new leaf this time, instead of paying lip service to their victims?
And we’ve been trying to tell you that the proposed solutions do not differentiate between the Horde faction and the Horde players as much as you seem to think they do.
Point: HORDE PLAYERS are telling you that they don’t feel there’s enough differentiation, and often enough the response is “Nuh uh you’re wrong” as if we don’t know how we feel?
Some text about the groans of the night elves. This probably belongs to the section “We know how we feel.”
Yes it would. We were told for quite some time we are the badies now. We also saved Nelven souls. The player didn’t write the story.
As if anyone ever would say: Jainas attack on Sen’jin was wrong etc.
I asked you the same thing when you said my proposal wasn’t good enough.
They already acknowledged it in game. It’s not good enough for Alliance players apparently. Especially Nelf players that feel their single race should have been able to solo the entirety of the Horde.
Again, players had the following choices:
Did you see me complaining about Thrall bowing and scraping to Tyrande? Did you see me complaining that he promised to bring her Sylvanas’ head?
False.
Again, you going to add anything productive? You’ve not been able to produce anything substantive for rebuilding the Horde.
Again, I ask, how do you make the faction pay without taking it out on the Players? That’s all I’m asking, but none of the Alliance players currently REEing about suggestions to rebuild the Horde (you know, the topic of this discussion) have been able to suggest anything beyond a vague “Horde needs to make it up” even being reductive to the point of saying things like “Is giving flowers to the Alliance making the Horde subservient?” As if giving flowers would fix things in any way, shape or form.
If you have suggestions feel free to lay them out. But don’t be upset if it gets criticized.
My suggestions? The council sends workers to darkshore to clean up and work on unblighting the place, and rebuild the structures they destroyed. They pull all forces out of Ashenvale and dismantle their lumber yards there. Reparations, whether thats gold or something else, to the Kaldorei families who lost loved ones in Teldrassil.
And they can also help rebuild Gilneas while they’re at it too.
The only thing I can think of is alliance-only scenarios for retaliation, but that lacks world permanence.
Monkey paw time.
Orcs go in and try to rebuild but it’s all done in forsaken architecture because all human buildings look alike to them anyway.
I mean…orc peons are pretty stupid.
Sarm, about the survival of the Horde player after the destruction of all but the younger generation of the Horde. He will be spared as the savior of Azeroth. Will it fit?
Mika, remember the night elves want to kill the Horde. How about the portals of Draenor? Happy orcs wipe their sweat away when the work is done. And then they are all killed.
