How Can We Redeem/Rebuild The Horde (Actual Horde Edition)

I realized it’s a game written by someone else and if I dislike the story, I have literally zero say in it. So I instead focus on the parts of the game I enjoy, and not let whatever decision they take the story in affect my life.

Some of you could do with some fresh air. Repeat, it’s a game.

Start writing and apply for a position if you want to impact the actual storylines.

Both factions have good and bad storytelling.

It’s the same theme. Zahir is asking the question of “What is the core fantasy of the Alliance, what should be the core fantasy of the Alliance, and what stories you’d like to see”

It’s literally the same.

No, you should go there if you want to discuss how to develop the Alliance plot. I genuinely don’t care. Truly do not give a single cumin seed of care.

The horde druids that main face the cenarion circle aren’t involved in teldrassil, as seen by them all existing at the sword and attempting to remove it.

Taking care of caraway seeds? Don’t be petty? Or ignore someone else’s opinion? Or not to “decorate food”?

The night elves will hate them due to their association with the Horde. Racism, nationalism, other forms of unfounded hatred. Fortunately, the leader of the Cenarion Circle is a night elf.

I mean, my character is a horde and is working with Shandris.

Your logic is impeccable here.

And Malfurion also understands that it’s not the entire horde. I doubt he will cast out Hamuul Runetotem, someone he’s actively worked with to stop world ending threats (Ragnarok) because Sylvannas nuked the tree while he was trying to solve the sword issue with the other circle members.

Let’s cut the good ones from the horde, instead of using that relationship to ask Hamuul to help guide them better.

Nerubians for the Forsaken! :spider:

:pancakes:

I would love to see Silvermoon rebuilt to its full glory. Something akin to what was done with Suramar, one of the most beautiful cities in the game. Show the cooperation and friendship between the Blood Elves and the Nightborne.

You can have other members of the Horde around, too. Like a Tauren and Troll area with the druids who are trying to help heal the Ghostlands. Something like that.

I would also like to see the Blood Elves reclaim much of the Ghostlands, hopefully reversing the corruption, but still dealing with it to some extent. The Horde druids are trying their best. Of course, this is a nice time to introduce Blood Elf druids, but I can hear the screaming from here over that idea.

The Amani Trolls are the sticking point. A part of me would like to see the Amani finally wiped out. However, that is not fair to the Troll fans. I’m a Troll fan myself, though with the Darkspear, Revantusk, and Zandalari. Darkspear rule, Amani drool!

Somehow, perhaps help from the Zandalari and the Revantusk, the Blood Elves and Amani finally make peace. Oh, there will still be tensions. Long standing hatred can’t be erased overnight or by the stroke a pen. Maybe showing how the Blood Elves helped to defend Zandalar or something.

There could be some ceding of land as a gesture of good faith. It’s not like the Blood Elves are so numerous that they need it these days. Perhaps a moment where the two sides have to fight together against remnants of the Scourge, the Void, or some other threat (not the Alliance).

These are just some ideas that popped into my head.

Shandris was on the side of Anduin, not Tyrande, in resolving the issue with the Horde. Malfurion is on Tyrande’s side. It is so?

No, I hope Malfurion doesn’t understand this. And if he understands, then he is going to rid the “good” part of the Horde from the “bad” by destroying the second part. Malfurion Fury of Neutrality, no need to repeat.

Oh, just thought of something else to add to my post above. Include the Earthen Ring. The shaman (including a certain Goblin from Cata) are working with the druids, talking with the elements to try and find a solution to the worst corruption.

I don’t just want to see Blood Elves and Nightborne working together here. Include all the races of the Horde. Show them working together. I just haven’t figured out a role for the Forsaken except for just a presence to help eliminate the last vestiges of the Scourge or refugees from Lordaeron.

IF the devs FINALLY decide to give their go at rebuilding Quel´thalas :sob: -I mean that´s probably one of the actual hard “No” they have ever given us players-.

Personally I´d like if the rebuilding in the destroyed portion of Silvermoon is employed to house the “homeless” civilian portion of the Kalimdor Horde that would be left with nothing in Gan´s hypothetical scenario (is the proper thing to do, after all Orcs et al DID help the elves to keep their territories). The military aid from the Horde races that would be left with NO territory would be EXTREMELY helpful in the borders (yes, this means the typically “old fashioned” Farstriders get out of their comfort bubbles AND start interacting more with the Horde proper; after all how can they leave behind prejudices against trolls and orcs if they DON´T interact with them on a daily basis?.

If someone that got the “RACIST” label like Garrosh managed to overcome a little bit his prejudices against elves thanks to the military campaign in Theramore, then I expect the Farstriders to be able to recognize that trolls are NOT their enemies and that yes, the elves are NO victims of the Amani when it was them the ones that invaded the forest troll territory.

YES to all of the above from my part (well don´t give a complete half of Silvermoon to a mere contingent of undead elves, give it to the Horde people that NEEDS it. Maybe make the undead elves the “political representatives” oin the Forsaken part of the city?)… the “troll vs. pretty elf” is such a HELFER thing. Belves have bigger things to worry about and have suffered hard enough to continue entertaining the prejudices of old imho… specially whewn it was trolls the ones that helped them first in Cata.

How do you feel about exploring Blood magic as a collaborative effort between Belves, Mag´har Orcs and Trolls? I mean, this can be used both to give a little bit of controversy between Zandalari and Belves (I can already picture Talanji acting like an angry aunt telling them elves what barbarian thing they think they are doing and Astalor + Ariok -YES HE´S BACK!!!- going all “chill gal, we have our own fancy blood source that is “Loa-sacrifice-FREE” to boot!!”) BUT at the same time it gives an exclusive magical school to the Horde reps AND can be further used to strech the relationship between the three races.

Also there´s a completely NOT selfish (HA!) interest from my part in giving Blood magic relevance for the Belves (coughcoughfuturecustomizationscough).

It is when you´rte not even proposing ideas in how to rebuild the stuff apart from “let us destroy moar of your stuff!!”… you people act anathema to the topic at hand, simple as that.

That makes two of us.

Ummm how about AFTER Shadowlands Forsaken get the “magical cure” to make “crazy” undead recover their personalities (maybe put ONE Forsaken character in a side story, make him interact with the Primus and the Maldraxxi so they teach this Forsaken the way to “recover” the soul/personality of the undead that exist under a rabid state?) Then, the Forsaken are not a mere presence but the KEY to convert all those antagonistic Scourge remains into Forsaken themselves (solves the Forsaken population issue with ZERO involvement of Alliance races too btw).

That’s my hope, that the Night Elves will be “tied” to Ardenweald, and that the Forsaken will be baptized as the House of the Forsaken, in charge of fixing the Scourge problem + given the task for protecting “The Sepulcher”

It would certainly be fitting for both races, and allows both to serve and have a true higher purpose. Everyone walks away happy(mostly) :wolf:

Well devs apparently listened to people like me that hated how Draka got overshadowed in the literal last portion of the leveling storyline of Maldraxxus just to make her simp Alexandros for the lols… in 9.1, apparently SHE is the one to get the Margrave job (had you asked me before datamined info, I would had bet it would be Alexandros the one to get the job).

And if she´s the Margrave of the CHOSEN, and SHE recognized her beloved son, then me thinks it isn´t harder to justify her facilitating a meeting between the Forsaken AND her Primus Boss.

I rather get a collaborative BELIEVABLE effort to recover the sanity of the “rabid” undead coming from an actual coherent source (you know… people from the realm of the DEATH) than to get a cheap 10th rate copout like Calia talking pretty words to the RAS and them magically becoming the nicest people ever. IF Calia HAS TO be present in the narrative, please give her an actual intelligent arc and not merely relegate her to “Mommy Deux Ex with convenient Alliance flavoring”.

Just watch:

  • Calia will be turned into a Banshee by Anduin under Sylvanas’s orders
  • But unlike Sylvanas, Calia will forgive Anduin + unlike what he did with Arthas, Uther will not abandon Anduin + unlike what she did with Arthas, Jaina will not abandon Anduin
  • So you get Light Calia + Banshee Calia, a Light Banshee, a Bansola (Banshee means Woman + Fairy, Sola means Light, so Light Woman)
  • Have Primus intervene to help “patch up her soul” some to recover what Anduin did
  • Primus decides to adopt the Forsaken since he is partially responsible for their existence and state, since he invented the Mourneblades and Helm to begin with even if Zovaal forcibly extracted the designs

It is clear that if the Horde remain armed at the end of this war, or are permitted to rearm, they will again, and inevitably, embark upon an ambitious career of world conquest. They must be disarmed and kept disarmed, and they must abandon the philosophy, and teaching of that philosophy, which has brought so much suffering to the world.

… Anyways

Yeah the biggest disappointment will be if we walk away from Shadowlands with ZERO Forsaken development

Out of all the people here I expected you to get that quote. Since you’re so well read on all things historical. :smirk:

I genuinely fear this will be the case.
