I got loot in a raid just now… and then a person whispers me asking if they could have it… (after I’ve already equipped it)… I said sorry it was better than having a green. So he starts spouting lies in raid chat ‘vote kick this guy, he’s ninja looting and demanding 1 million gold for the loot’. And of course, I get hate and get kicked…
So now I’m harassed in chat, and removed from content. Do I not have control over the content I partake in, or is that up to the other players now?
I paid for this service, and my time has been wasted. And you can’t report people for anything other than their damn name or if they say something harassing in chat (does this count for that?)… sooo…
This guy needs to see a 24 hr or something so he knows not to do this. He just laughed it off in whispers ‘can’t get banned for that hahaha lololol’.
EDIT TO ADD: Now he must be getting people to mass report me:
EDIT 2: I guess he was right… what he did was fine since he didn’t use a bad word in the process. Cool.
First, I would avoid the masked language here. Yes, the *'s count.
Unfortunately groups are at will. Somone can vote kick in LFG, or simply remove you from groups in the rest of the game. There really is nothing to report.
But if they are using bad language or harassing you that could lead to something else, you should use the right click to report, as well as the ignore system in game.

Sorry but I don’t accept that. So he could be reported if he swears at me… which in essence does nothing (I mean, oh no… he used words at me). But he can’t be reported for causing a disruption in my gameplay? You are aware that we aren’t immortal right? That wasted time… is just that… wasted. It’s gone. Can’t get that back. How that’s not important in this situation is beyond me.
As Kozzae already stated, if they are using profanity or other inappropriate language in-game, right click report, and ignore them completely. Just note, if you are responding in kind, you and the other person can both be actioned.

You’re kidding right? A person can entirely ruin my day, but its not reportable so long as they didn’t use abrasive words, and I gotta be nice about it?
No, because you joined an at-will group and any group can decide who they want to play with or not play with.
And that has no bearing on the situation at all so why bring it up?
Sorry to burst your bubble, but the others in the group you were in might have thought you were wasting their time so kicked you for that. You would have no idea. So your time is more valuable than their time? Your enjoyment of the game is more important than other players enjoyment?

If he continues to harass you in chat, report him for harassment. Put him on ignore and do not respond to him or Blizzard can look at it as a two way thing. If he bypasses the ignore or has friends harass you, report that too. Again, do not respond and put them all on ignore.
Edit: Oh, and edit your post to remove the masked cuss words. It’s against forum code of conduct.

What? By pressing the dice button on an item that dropped, how could I have been disrupting their time? The person LIED in chat, coercing others to mob-mentality and kick me. All they knew of me, was this guy saying in chat ‘Kick this person because x y z’. I’m just gonna go now. The point is now I had to wait for another queue which takes over an hour. And now I’m wondering if I should even risk it to roll on gear or if this will happen more often, since people are allowed to do what this person did I guess.
They can grief me because they didn’t get the gear they wanted (which was fairly rolled on by the game mechanics), and thus lead to me getting kicked from the content. And that is completely fine. You and seemingly everyone else responding would be fine with this happening to you I guess. Oh well, right?
I need to step away from this thread…

Here’s the thing, I don’t necessarily think he’s getting people to mass report you, I think the problem is what you’re saying. Because you don’t just receive a warning for no reason if your chat is abusive. The GMS look at your chat before deciding hat to do or something like that.

People have the right to play, or not play with anyone. You can be kicked from a group for any, or no, reason.
There’s not a player alive that hasn’t been kicked for no “real” reason and few who have never kicked someone they just didn’t like.
Give up on the vengeance and just move on with your life.

GMs do look at the chat before issuing a penalty. I’ve heard, though, that there’s a recently released warning feature that is automated, and while I haven’t seen an example before, the warning in the screenshot posted by OP looks like it could be one of them.
The automated warning is just a warning that you’re being reported, though; it doesn’t put a black mark on the account, count towards stacking penalties, or remove any privileges.

From what I’ve heard, the automated warning takes more than one report to be triggered too.
