I’m struggling. This PW change killed the flow, and maybe it’s my build but spitting out meatballs is struggling. I’m trying to find another spec to play but I’m worried I’m homeless without Shaman.
How are you guys doing?

Tbh I feel more impacted by the loss of bad luck protection on DRE

Well there is no more meatball build. Even in Farseer our damage breakdown is way more balanced and we only take PWave to spawn an Ancestor.
Both Stormbringer and Farseer have us utilizing a similar kit/rotation outside of CDs.
Not sure what part of the game you are playing though.
I was a DF meatball enjoyer. It was just a fun build to me. Visually fun. Solid cadence in M+. Etc.
I do like Lightning Rod in theory but wish it lasted a little longer. Changing targets gets some getting used to.
Still despise EoGS though. Having a ST spell buff an AoE spell will always bug me.

Literally a nothing burger change.
I’m making it work but it does feel god awful in raid sometimes. M+ has been fun af but I was already playing Echoes + No pwave.
Im in pvp. Elemental was the closest spec to rivaling BM in terms of mobility and damage on the move.
Yeah it sucks. As Resto it basically procs every pull during keys but for Elemental I might get lucky if it procs once every 3 minutes, when mobs have 5% health left.
The fun has been diminished a lot. the flow sucks and the PW change is still the worst thing they have done in a long time but they are not talking to us so i’m resigned to it all

Ele of m+ is in a pretty good spot. Enjoying it s lot there
I play Stormbringer in PvP and Pwave hits almost as hard as tempest now it just can’t overload unfortunately. However Pwave is always my top
3 damage dealer in PvP now. I take it for the instant cast and haste boost plus the free meatball.
Other than that I’m slinging lighting bolts all over the place and by my blitz rating I’m doing pretty okay for my liking.
Im not super concerned with rating. I try to improve and thats good enough for me. I felt like Stormbringer (SB) was too immobile for pvp. Has that changed?
Spirit walkers when you need to move but we get a lot of instants. I don’t have much problem with mobility honestly. Even frost shock crits for 800k.
The cooldown reduction with new pvp talent makes us a menace in the battlefield with all our totems and defenses being available a lot more often.

I think Enh is better though. In my guild we have an Ele with 665 ilvl and even though he’s a real pumper I’m right on his heels with only 647 ilvl and a blue offhand.
Sure when he pops Ascendance he leaves everyone behind in a dustcloud but once that ran out it’s just a matter of time for my totemic sustain damage catching up to him like the inevitable Tarragrue from Torghast.
Ele is great for raiding but in M+ when you don’t time your long cooldowns just perfect it gets very difficult to keep up.

Really? Alright well its time to dust off my clubs and get out there.
I can recommend to try the addon Hekili. It does work great with enhancement after a little setup and tweaking.

But ele is generally considered one of the best m+ specs. Ele is also generally considered one of the lower raid specs.

Not my experience at level 10. Maybe it’s heavily reliant on the sort of pulls?
Its definitely reliant on pulls and tank communication. I regularly tell my tank “hey, cds up. pull big”.
But Ele is largely seen as one of the best specs for m+ atm. Whereas its single target damage is often lacking.
EoGS sucks. Pwave sucks. Ele blast in AOE sucks. Spreading lighting rod sucks. Not tanky.
Idc how great our dmg is in AOE. EoGS will never be fun. The playstyle is clunky in Raid and Mplus.
Meatball build was way, way, way better. But this forum begged for it to be gutted. Y’all got what you wished for.
