How are we supposed to kill Mythic Brood without BDKs?

We have like no BDKs, maybe one. Having to have BDKs to make it work is hard. the ads are everywhere. Why does Blizz make raids that require a certain class/spec to be able to do it well? So frustrated. // banging my head against the wall wiping for hours bc we dont have a BDK that can just grip parasites.

Why does it need a BDK? Are you saying to pull in the adds?

You can use vengeance demon hunters too. I don’t see how they can change that fight so you’ll probably want people to switch from dps to tank if they’re dks or to reroll one only for that fight.

But yea they make some fights with grips in mind because that’s all dks got since they don’t have a raid buff.

My group just had our two main tanks make blood DKs just for that fight. Then our WW monk went brew just for the spiders.

We got it to 0.7% Tuesday which was neat, but since we only raid 6 hours a week and only did one Mythic raid this week, seems like it dies this Tuesday.

I think at this point the fight could do with some adjustments, or mass grip made a bit less exclusive to tanks.

However I dislike curbing design freedom for raid encounters to no longer include mechanics that mass grip can make more efficient.

Best solution is to give dps dks mass grip imo but they seem against it.

Best solution would be give mass grip to more tanks, the m+ crowd was complaining all of dragonflight that the tank rankings were essentially dictated wholly on the tanks ability to group mobs together after all.

Huh? You mean when blood dks weren’t meta (for M+)?
did you mean vengeance dh ability to permanent cc mobs or prot paladins insane interrupts?

Anyway, grips are dks niche and unless we want to give them a raid buff, which doesn’t seem popular at Blizzard, there’s not much reason to give mass grip to other tanks.

I think it’s absolutely wrong and disappointing that blizz makes raids like this that require certain classes to make it much more viable.

Yeah, gorefiends should be in the class tree.

I wouldn’t be opposed to the aoe grip sigil (don’t remember the name) being in the base DH tree as well.

Same way we are evoker and a boomie. Knock em into the mid pile and cc away.

Every raid tier there’s at least one fight where BDK is basically mandatory. It’s been this way for some time now.

There’s arguments for both, I think it’s fine to try to push diversity. Each class have a raid buff which makes fights much easier. Dks have grips which don’t work on 90% of fights but are pretty essential to the other 10%. But I disagree with blood dk being the only one to bring it, you shouldn’t want a dps to switch to tank simply for mass grip.

pretending paladins weren’t dead last among tanks for their lackluster ability to group mobs for all of dragonflight, I see talking to you will be a waste of time

Mythic raid is designed around your raid group having access to every spec, in order to allow the mythic encounter designers to have more idea space for mechanics.

give it to warriors too. call it fury of the wargod, tosses out metal chains and yanks mobs all to one spot, making them bleed as well.

something like Spawns chains from the comic Spawn. or kratos chain weapon from god of war.

It’s been said in the past, one of the funniest one was needing 2 priest for mind control in Blackrock Foundry. It happened in Naxx too but easier with 25m (which I think is still a superior format). They like to make classes kit shine but sometime they go a bit far with it, at least it’s not like some bosses like Aggramar when the average guild had 2 to 3 blood dk.
