I could link you a blue post explaining how but two things will happen:

1.) I will be called a shill, I’ll probably also be called an idiot or something similar.
2.) People will claim the Blizzard employee is lying.

so I guess you can choose to believe one of the conspiracy theories that are sure to be posted here.

i just find it odd.

back in the day i was like 13 as a admin on p servers with just as many people, and was able to deal with issues like this with 0 effort. so i do imagine the excuse to be mental gymnastics unlike anything i’ve ever witnessed.

Create character on season of mastery then xfer it to mega server. Then create dk bot. Blizz wants that $$$

The fact that blizzard was nearly instantly able to ban 10k (or could’ve been 100k can’t remember) bots around aq release just shows they are more than capable of banning these bots if they devote any resources at all to it. But the sad truth is they do not care and only ever do ban waves as a PR stunt.

Bot subscriptions probably the only thing keeping wrath classic afloat…

Some one has to keep the lights on for the 5 days of the week that aren’t raid night.

And yet, here you are posting on the forums and paying a subscription … like everyone else.

Sure, if that makes you feel better about the situation im cool with that.

If people weren’t making comments like that since the inception of the game combined with if the game were actually floundering … I might take it a bit more seriously.

Yet, the game is still here … and people thinking it’s “dying” (such as yourself) are still forking over their $15 a month.

But, if it makes you feel better to believe the game is dying … more power to you. :tipping_hand_man:t2:

Oh, Wrath classic is definitely dying but the point was that the MASSIVE amount of bots in Wrath are likely what’s keeping it afloat. I know you’re obsessed with my 15$ subscription but i haven’t paid a subscription in a long time, the people buying tokens pay for mine

The conspiracy theorists on this forum won’t believe current Blizzard employees, so here’s a post from Nevalistis 11 years ago explaining how the vast majority of bots do not pay legitimately:

This is one of the biggest misconceptions we have, and I genuinely wish we could permanently clear it up. I’ll provide a few hypothetical situations (mind you, these numbers are ENTIRELY made up).

Let’s say 90% of botters were compromised accounts. This means that 90% of these botters aren’t paying accounts; they’re stolen accounts, which are generally fueled by stolen credit cards. These payments usually get disputed and taken back, which actually costs us money.

i really dont think account phishing is as common today, i dont believe these bots are majority actual payers stolen accounts. 11 years ago, maybe.

Judge on Actions not words… Blizzard can say a lot of self serving crap to absolve themselves on the botting issues… the reality is they do Jack S*** about it, and that is what they should be judged on.
