How are so many twinks getting into xp on bg's?

Ive been facing twinks in almost every bracket. I dont pvp at max level because I hate the huge difference in gear making it impossible for me to be competitive, since i dont have the time to grind out gear on multiple characters. When everyone is in heirloom gear its pretty even, but it seems like a quarter of my games have 1-2 twinks completely destroying everyone and even 3-4 people cant stop them. Guess its time to give up on wow pvp yet again.

Bingo, and you are one of the twinks from my XPon games in the 70’s obviously not gaining XP and hanging around the XP eliminator.

So you’d rather just abuse exploits to cheat in XPon games.

This guild I see cheating the most I’d say. Trymelol was definitely an exploiting cheat I saw again and again.

I really hope you all learn to play, it is so sad you need such a ridiculous advantage to even queue.

You have three azerite pieces and mostly in 215+ gear.

You’re better geared than the average leveler and exactly what you’re complaining about.

Ah, well. I was gone from Apr-Dec of last year, I missed a lot :frowning:

I’m glad you’ve learned nothing from this thread.

Arete has been around for a long time, isn’t a twink, and plays 110 often, I’ve queued against him a lot. I don’t think Blizzard would want to separate him from queues, unlike people like myself who they definitely want out.

Folks would rather actually play the game than sit in a line all night to play it  what a baffling thing.

What’s sad is that we can’t just que up like normal, if only Blizz hadn’t folded to the whinging of these snowflakes who can’t handle getting killed in PvP. It really is a sad state of affairs that so many would come crying to daddy Blizz, begging for them to change the game, to make their lives easier.

It used to be getting wrecked in bgs would be motivation to PvPers, to improve your own gear, or change up your build, or maybe inspire you to try a different class, it would create this goal to strive towards - “I wanna be as strong as that dude who just owned me”. Sadly nowadays though people get triggered if everything’s not completely fair for them, they get offended when someone has an advantage, rather than use it as personal motivation they hold it up as proof that the game needs to be changed into a safe space where nobody feels bad.

Gods be good, classic can’t come soon enough.

The problem with your logic is that is is not possible to do this without cheating. Abusing the exploit gives and advantage that people who follow the rules do not have.

Justify all you want, but you are cheating and it comes at the expense of people who are not.

Why don’t you queue up as normal then? You have two normal options:

  1. Go queue for XP off games.

  2. Or, queue up with the XPon and leave your XP on

You know, like normal.

You actually just described all the whining twinks to a T. The “make their lives easier” bit is especially hilarious given you are abusing an exploit to do just that.

I couldn’t agree more. And you won’t have to cheat to be a twink!

The twinks ive seen in the 110 bracket are around 260 ilvl. They have nearly double the hp as my druid, and can 3 shot me. I have no idea how you think my character is a twink, since leveling gear is around 220 from what ive seen. Thank you for your kind reply.

Excuse me??? Thats 15 ilvls too low.

80k health in bgs.
29k chaos bolts.

Can confirm the rest of what you said though :stuck_out_tongue:

NVM. Leveling gear at that area of play is 180, as most players at 110 are boosting to 110 and boosted gear is ilvl 180.

I havent really played my druid since launch, but im pretty sure i got most of my gear from questing, and my weapon from the AH. Unless people que for bgs without doing and bfa content i would assume low 200s ilvl is average for leveling.

But as you said, when twinks have 80k hp and can crit for 20-30k, it doesnt really matter.

People at 110 who enter with the neck and azerite peices are usually about 2/10 players on the team. Most people you’re playing with at 110 are people who haven’t bought BFA and are gluttons for twink punishment.

My mistake, i thought 110 was in the 119 bracket, so what you said makes sense.

That was in reference to how the separation happened to begin with, not really talking about now.

Such a disingenuous response lol, neither option is viable for a twink and you know it.

  1. XP off queues are non-existent, literally will sit in a que for hours and never pop.
  2. To play one game and then negate all the gear and time we’ve invested?

Twinks don’t ask for the game to be changed though… we don’t want anything from Blizz except just to be left alone to play the game how we want to. Sure at this point we would like ques to be re-integrated, but that isn’t a change itself really, it’s undoing a poorly thought out one.

I actually have zero intention of twinking in classic. Contrary to popular belief we’re not bullies who will only play with a gear advantage, most of us are just looking for fun in an otherwise fun-less expansion. Why do you think twiking has come back with such force? When end game is the hot garbage that it is currently naturally people will try to find their own way to enjoy the game.

That popular belief stems from the large amount of people who engage in the playstyle FOR all the stereotypical reasons. No, not everyone who does falls into that bucket. However, a lot of people do and there are a handful who hang around here often who continue reinforcing all those stereotypes.

And how would you, or anyone, know the reason people twink? Unless you ask them you are simply assuming.

So am I to believe you’ve investigated the personal motivations of this “large amount of people”? Imma go out on a limb and guess you haven’t, so in reality you’re just assuming based on your pre-conceived notions.

I think Mrs. Sockfull’s words are relevant here

I have no anger, I support twinking. I have friends who engage in the playstyle but anyone who believes there are not people who engage in the playstyle for those reasons is simply trying to fool themself. Tell me, do you honestly believe that nobody engages in it to do the things people have claimed?

No, there are probably folks with all kinds of different reasons for twinking. Don’t know how many of them there are or what percentage of the population they are.

All I can speak to for certain is my personal reasons, and for that of my friends, for us we just don’t find this expansion engaging. Pretty much every aspect of end game is uninspiring and tedious IMO, there is no fun to be had in BFA for us so we found our own fun in twinking.

My point is that you should hesitate to attribute a motivation to “a large amount of people” since at the end of the day you’re really just guessing. People are complicated and have varying reasons for doing stuff, trying to paint a whole group of them all with the same brush isn’t realistic.

I’m not concerning with percentages as we all know any that people post here are made up. I was asking honestly if you believe that nobody twinks for the stereotypical reasons people discuss.

I can say “large amount” with confidence. I’m not saying all. I’m not even saying most. And I do agree with you that you cannot paint everyone with the same brush. I’ve said that many times (I may have even said it in this thread too). The only people who paint them all with the same brush are those who hate just to hate.

I’m sorry that you’re not finding any fun in BFA. I have “some” but not a whole lot anymore. It’s become increasingly difficult to defend this expansion objectively.

People have been lumping twinks in the same boat for almost a year now. It’s nothing new.
