How are so many twinks getting into xp on bg's?

Didn’t they give them their own separate que or am I mistaken? It’s to the point where there’s no point in queing at all as Horde. Every bg has the same couple of twinks camping the gy and 4 or 5 capping the node maps or perfection fc bg’s.

And yes, my experience is on.

EDIT: So they just didn’t buy BFA. Sorry, they should be in xp off. The games arent even competitive.

EDIT #2: This was as a 110.

It’s actually out of control. There are a lot of players exploiting at the XPoff NPC even at level 119. Blizzard has taken no action on these people so far.

All I can say is there is always a way… O whale shrug

and yes, horde do it too… I usually always see at least one other twink in my games

Players are transferring BFA gear toons to Legion capped accounts. It’s not an exploit since it using a paid service, but I believe it’s unintended.

Blizzard generally takes months to fix bugs and exploits. I doubt those that transferred already will be punished.

Yeah that is another thing. The NPC exploit has been going on for years apparently.

No mercy for the weak.
Do not lay down!

Yeah this sucks. Why fix something (which a LOT of us care about, and consider important) badly. If you’re not gonna fix it, admit the twinks beat you and that’s the game you market. If you’re gonna fix it, be vigilant. Don’t talk out both sides of your mouth, blizz.

Legion template system would solve this.

They should definitely fix the NPC bug, which should be simple enough (delete NPC and duplicate the War Mode switch for XP toggling), but they should also make it so characters can only queue up with other characters at the same expansion pack or below. So if someone capped at Legion queues up, they’re only ever going to be put in games with other Legion-capped characters.

What about a simple 48hr CD on the XP eliminator? At least until the actual bug can be sorted?

Every game with these twinks is horrible. 8.1 all over again. All the games where they’re not there, are close and super fun.

Why punish the ones who aren’t doing anything wrong?

Would it? I had 12 99 twinks in Legion :stuck_out_tongue:

I’d like to introduce you to the US Judicial System.

How does this punish them? How often do you need to do this if you are legitimately just turning of your XP?

I don’t know why you would use this other than to make a twink, in which case you turn it off and leave it.

When leveling with friends, I often play significantly more then them. Maybe twice as much. In order to not out-level them constantly, I will lock my exp after each time we group up so that I can continue to play, and we are still the same level when they log in next.

Its not important if you’re dungeoning together, but if you want to pvp you have to be in the same 10 level bracket as them, so you have to manage it carefully if you want to play while they’re gone.

That’s a good point. They need to fix it properly then.

So many cheaters in the 70’s, half of my games have been great and half really bad because of twinks.

Maybe don’t be so quick to judge everyone?

Some people like to gear up even if they aren’t going to stay xp locked.

Also, I sometimes turn xp off to do quest chains that end with a nice piece of gear or to run a dungeon, like if I want to play in 20-29s. There are very geared players in that bracket, so I don’t want to go in undergeared. I need to turn xp back on after I’m done gathering pieces, so I can actually get a queue.

That absolutely 100% goes both ways.

Perhaps, but you can’t always have your cake and eat it too.

There will always be the random reasons people do it however, if something is exploited enough, those random reasons no longer are reasons. Example, people were mad when deserter was added because they could no longer keep bailing. I read probably 3 dozen reasons why people innocently claimed they would chain-desert.

Sure, but I didn’t judge him.

Um, doing this to get nice gear isn’t asking for anything special. It’s just using the tools provided, within the rules.

It’s not random. Lots of people like nice gear, and it’s not doing anything wrong. Punish the people who are, unless your real agenda is just to remove the XP guy altogether (which wouldn’t come as a surprise).

People who constantly leave their teams in the lurch and make excuses for it are not remotely similar. He couldn’t understand why people use xp off/on, so I gave him some of the reasons. No excuses needed, since again, it’s not doing anything wrong.

You may not have, but from a neutral perspective, I see far more judging from the supporting side than the anti side.

It’s not so much “within the rules” as it’s something not enforced.

You like nice gear. You shouldn’t speak for others. Nobody is punishing anybody. You were not banned for getting gear. Game evolution is not a punishment.

You’re not understanding the point being made. The point is that people have their random reasons why they do things and their personal reasons are justification enough. That’s just not how things work.

He didn’t say he didn’t understand why people use XP on/off, he didn’t know why someone would need to turn it on/off so frequently. And the reasons being stated just don’t make sense. I can’t see a legit reason why someone would turn it on/off every few minutes.
