Moonbeam guardian Druid seems ok so far does a lot of damage mostly passive. Amish broke my tier sets and at level 78 I do notice my hp drops not much but noticeable.
I like balance druid and their playstyle.
I like elunes chosen and the increased emphasis on fury of elune.
I really like lunar calling and the effect it has on our rotation.
What rotation lol?
Iāve mained Druid (resto mostly until the last few years been feral) for every expac I have played and this is prob the first time Iām considering not playing it as my main.
The class tree isnāt great, and the melee distance reduction for feral is frustrating. Absolutely frustratingā¦. I can tell Iām not the only one mentioning this, so I really hope they revert back.
Love fluid Druid of the claw
Honestly, Iām druid ride or die but I do wish our hero talents were cooler. I wasnāt excited about any of them.
Iāve got my gripes with the current state of the class tree, but thatās the biggest thing for me. We werenāt given anything to be really stoked about hero talents for in the way other classes were.
This is the first xpac Iām not maining druid and am maining Monk instead. They got some cool hero talents while druids gotā¦whatever it is we got. The only cool hero talent tree we got thematically was druid of the fang, but even that is actually meh in its implementation. None of them are actually engaging in any way.
Throw in our lackluster talent trees and the button overload we have going on, and Iām just not feeling it. Druids need some ability pruning and consolidation, weāve got way too many abilities going on even if you only count form appropriate abilities for each formā¦but change spec to a spec that de-emphasizes a form and you lose so many abilities as to be useless in that form. We canāt afford to flesh out cat or bear much as a moonkin or resto, we canāt afford to flesh out resto or balance as a cat or bear, and none of it synergizes with itself.
And weāre supposed to be the synergistic class.
Maybe Iām just jaded but when we get āboringā new talents, I usually consider that a win. Resto was already in a great spot and it looks to still be there. āBoringā is a LOT better than ābrokenā or ābadā.
While this is all absolutely true, I actually managed to trim myself back down to 2 spellbars, just like at the start of BfA. I plan to use my build, or a version of it in PvP, which I take rather seriously. I still believe niche builds CAN work, if the shenanigans are executed well enough. Of course, this isnāt min-maxing or cookie-cutting since I donāt play at the highest competitive levels, but I now think that even though the Class tree at first seemed rigid, I quite like the builds Iāve been able to construct for Balance. Now, my main issues with it is the spec mechanics and Eclipse system, which despite slight improvements via Hero talents, now for some reason seemā¦ even more glaring somehow I almost think Iāll be trying an even more āshenanigansā build (Full Moon), or, at least test it out. That is, just to see whatās more engaging. Iāll slowly adjust based on what is strong later as the season rolls in.
Balance druid will get tuned and will be fine eventually but its still boring at its core. I will prob try out feral and hope it keeps me entertained until a we get a rework
Sticking with my guardian. I do have a question though. I stopped playing in dragonflight before the emerald dream and want to get the new forms they added but the portal isnāt there and theres no quests ive seen to unlock access to it like all the sites ive seen is telling me. I figured this is a long shot but if anyone can help it would be amazing
Iām actually enjoying Eluneās Chosen, itās quite nice. Although itās a bit boring but only because it lacks the splash of FX. Definitely not a fan of Keeper of the Grove, so lacklusterā¦ But I hate the treant theme for Balance, would think itās much more the Resto fantasy.
So far for outdoor Gurdian is decent, feral mediocre, balance terrible
I play guardian as always. Outdoor feels great. Cant say for other specs
Delves were kinda rough for me as Balance/Keeper at level 3. Easier as Guardian. There was still one where itās really dark and you have to kill shadow totems where I died several times on lvl 3.
I am absolutely loving Eluneās Chosen Bear. I feel like I always have a CD to press. I donāt recommend this at max level but I macroād Rage of Sleeper and Lunar Beam for leveling. With scaling being wonky it was melting packs of mobs. Keep a seperate keybind for Lunar Beam because there is a Hero Talent that reduces the CD. If you use that talent (for leveling) you can find yourself with a RoTS CD of 1min and Lunar Beam CD of 35~45 sec.
Balance was fine until about 77, then power vs open world mobs started going South, and now t 79, itās like playing balance in Vanilla: I havenāt felt this squishy in quite some time.
As an 80 boomkin going with eluneās chose I feel like I slap for aoe. 2 dots, fury of elune and then orbit blaster is a nuke like Iāve never had before. There seems to be a lot of aoe in the new dungeons, so Iām looking forward to those.
I donāt know if itās because Iām undergeared for being 80, but I wish regrowth hit harder. It does something like 250k non crit and I have 3.5 million hps. I feel like sitting and eating food would heal me faster.
Iām not even going to attempt playing Balance until things change. Iāll level this guy as Guardian; it feels so much better and is actually effective.
rdruid wildstalker build lvl 70-80 has been best leveling experience for me
balance is ok but needs buffs
feral is high burst dps and loving it
guardian is top tier tanking for me atm with massives pulls healers simply chill
druid is in a fantastic spot but keep in mind its a skillcap class and requires awareness
