How are all you doing out there, surviving the apocalypse?

Australia’s Prime Minister will suspend funding to any school that closes. It’s shocking. So parents who are still working are sending sick kids to school.

I had to almost carry a sick child to sick-bay yesterday. Whatever she has she’s spread to everyone she was near.

It’s so stressful, but we remain positive for the children, because they are scared; I do not want them to see that I’m scared as well.

Wow, where are you that school is still in session?

My kids always got sick when they were in regular school because of parents like that. Why would you ever send your poor sick kid to school to infect everyone when they should be resting? Crazy.

Damn. Why though? Seems like that would be the worst way to spread it,leaving germy kids together.

Australia, Spring Holidays start on the 9th April. At this stage I’m suspecting we’ll stay open until then. (But only half the students are showing up now.)

He says that we’ll lose 30% of Doctors and Nurses because they cannot leave their children at home. But we’ll lose more than that with kids spreading COVID-19.
The kids no zero boundaries in regards to keeping apart! And they sneeze, cough and hug!

Not a apocalypse yet.

Yea… kids are the biggest carrier of diseases. I’ve seen mini epidemics at a single school pretty much every year. Australia is getting up there too in their covid diagnoses aren’t they?

I dunno, everything is nuts now.

Only thing that changed for me is cant go to the gym. Work is 6 days, but for 2 hours less a day and maybe 10 percent of the workload. So I think they will reduce days soon.

Same as usual but work is now shut down till further notice. X.X “game over”
but i think i’ve prepared for this day~ so should be fine for at least a little while i think.
so I guess with my extra time off on this new found “vacation” i will go farm up some gold, maybe hunt down some transmogs, level more alts. still have a number of Vulpera to level

other than that i think i might catch up on some sleep. maybe clean my room. dun dun DUUUN sound
throw out the trash, do the dishes…
maybe un rust my drawing skills, perhaps level those skills up to something that is marketable. basically all the stuff i say i want to do but don’t have time because work eats up all the time.

1000 people now, but who knows the actual numbers anywhere? So many are sick, and either can’t or won’t get tested.

I’ve got enough food to last for a couple of months but I’ve never wanted a cheeseburger, fries and a milkshake more than I do right now. Just not willing to risk it. Maybe in a month or so I’ll head out and get one and I’m sure it will be the best cheeseburger I’ve ever had at that point.

I’m also running low on Coke Zero and will have to settle for sweet tea and water in about a week or so, soda just doesn’t stay good long enough to hoard large quantities.

imaginary quarantine guards will get the imaginary dog if it tries to go out in the imaginary car.

Around here what made me chuckle is that we are on the threshold for “Rank 3 Quarantine”, but for now everything but stores for consumer goods, fresh goods and dried goods or takeaway food cant open.

Thanks to some “tourists” we had a jump in cases and PM got to make some “adjustments” to our lives.

As I live 2 blocks from a 7eleven and I have a bike, it is all good for now. lol

I’m from the US but I live in Europe now. All I can really say is that I never thought I’d have to wear a face mask to use the bus or walk to work in Europe.

When I read about what the US is doing, it sounds like a public health care crisis waiting to happen. People in the heartland and the burbs really can’t think they’re immune to this?

Even if you think you have the immune system of Superman, at least try to think of your older relatives.

Are masks readily available in Europe? They aren’t in the U.S., at least the effective N95 masks.

I am keeping calm and carrying on.

i was so sad to hear about this :frowning:

because he’s a moron.
we’re an island.
he refused to close the borders, and invited this virus in.
then one of our “experts” said that no action would be taken until “significant community transmissions had occurred”.

PM refuses to act on the advice of other countries who have had more experience, and is convinced that sending kids to school is safe.
Thankfully, most of the parents are smarter than the PM, and have pulled their kids from school.
Other schools have voluntarily closed.
Until the schools are closed, we’re going to continue to see infection numbers rise sharply.
The dude just doesn’t get it.
He seems like the kind of person who would choose to throw a chicken-pox party.

Greetings from the pandemic epicenter of the United States: New York City!

New York, New York, it’s all shuttin’ down
The cases swell and few masks are around
Forget TP, that’ll never be found
New York, New York, where it’s all shuttin’ down.

You Aussies let 3k passengers (of which 4 tested positive for coronavirus) on the Ruby Princess to get off the ship. Haven’t you guys learned yet that any cruise ship named “Princess” is cursed?

let’s not pretend this is a group effort.

i haven’t had a say in any of this.

if i had, our borders would have closed in january, and we’d all still be going about our business.
meanwhile, those of us at risk are cowering in our homes, and the world outside our doors is still business as usual.
transmission rates within the next month are going to be horrific.

NT have decided to close their borders, they were the only state with 0 transmissions… until yesterday.
They waited too long.
The indigenous communities are probably going to take a huge hit from this… unless they’re the ultra-isolated ones.
