I roll need on everything I can in lfr for different reasons, none of them being that I need it for my character power.
I don’t understand why a person would start off being hostile. I might consider giving the item away, or selling it for the vendor price if they were nice about it.

IMHO if you participate in LFR then you are welcome to roll on whatever loot drops.

I don’t do queue content unless it’s LFG on leveling characters more or less out of principal, but if I did, I would be needing on stuff that the dice is lit up for unless I already happen to have the mog look simply because I value myself and not you/the plebs in LFR with me. I’m not there to gear them up and their “needs” are inconsequential to my account progression.

The geared to not exist to feed/funnel gear to the less geared. You have access to the same content I do and just because you didn’t/don’t do it isn’t my problem to fix. Nobody needs LFR loot because delves give better and guaranteed loot at that.

You want to play and be a nice and generous person doing content and passing on all the drops for the betterment of people you all but guarantee won’t see again? That is certainly your prerogative but expecting people to all share that mentality is, I’d argue, more “toxic” than the “selfish” people who dare to carry groups with their superior gear and knowledge and yet not expect some kind of reward from it.

And the best thing Blizzard can do for LFR groups at this point is put gear back on an invisible personal loot and even better give people who do superior levels the mog looks for the inferior mode variants. We’ll see exactly how many geared people opt to do LFR if they get access to the mogs and such when they do the content they normally do and you LFR heroes are gonna suffer when the geared and good aren’t there anymore to carry your groups.

Most* lfr loot is not important.
Some trinkets are so good, they are better than many others 30 ilvls above. Even lfr quality, they are highly sought after.

You can get BiS hero trinkets for free now.

ignore the h8rs. Rub it in their face. make them mad.

You still have to run lfr to get the dinars.

‘Need’ is relative. If you won then you won. End of story.

Lfr is notorious for randoms spamming you for loot. Tell them to leave you alone if you don’t want to outright ignore them and if they persist just report them.

Not the jerk.

Sure. But no one is rolling on Cartel Chips.

When someone is being nasty or rude just report them and don’t respond back.

LFR is fare game, I roll need for mogs since 626 gear is easy to get through Nightfall event.

If you needed a trinket and people have a toddler fit over it then it’s their problem.

I don’t roll need for trinkets, necks, and rings unless I think it’s better than what I have even if the item I have is a higher level.

I honestly just throw whatever on my alts so they meet item level requirements for LFR until I do better for some pieces of gear to match spec stats.

lfr is full of people like that

this is why i tell them to fork over gold

Ignore them yes

But first

reply, “what’s your bid?”

This will wind them up even further, without any problematic language on your end. THEN let them talk to the ignore wall when they think you’re open to ‘discussion’.

Based on your tone here I’m not quite certain I believe the situation went down how you described. If it did you are not a jerk, if something else happened you certainly could be.
