I had two people private message me some nasty crap and then /ignore me, typical troll nonsense ya know…
But all because some priest was begging me for a trinket from lfr. They got nasty with me telling me that I clearly rolled on loot I didn’t need…
I was in Balance spec, rolling for a dps trinket because the only trinkets I have are for my main healing spec, so I keep getting a little robot hovering around healing people while i am beaming stuff.
So yeah, I did literally need the dps trinket that gives stacking crit to replace my healer exclusive trinkets. And still get chewed out.
They sat in front of me trash talking me in the raid, and my only response was “Why would I roll on loot I don’t need? sounds dumb to me.”…BAM, private messages ensued calling me a nasty rude blah blah blah.
How? What was I supposed to do, roll greed and hope for the best? Or roll need and filter all my loot to the priest I never met before? Seems like a lose-lose situation for me.
not that it matters, but it always seems to be players from either KT servers, Illidan, Sargeras, and the Ragnaros servers. Why are so many of the rude people i bump into, from those servers? What’s so special to attract them to those servers, or how did they devolve into that?
People be crazy. Report, ignore, let them seethe like children.
I haven’t seen that happen since group loot became a thing, but I’ve heard of these experiences from time to time and think those people need to get their heads out of their bums and accept they lost a roll.
The game let you roll. Therefor, you’re allowed to roll.
No, you came at this from a stance of assuming that I am dumb and incapable, and I asked you why and now you deflect and call me a jerk for asking you a question and pointing out why your stance was silly.
And then, regardless of what they said to you, you would’ve been the one actioned by GMs.
No, my stance is that a large majority of people don’t actually report because they see it as a sign of weakness or some other reason that doesn’t matter. You’re the one slinging abusive words towards people who don’t report infractions.
I have yet to be actioned for telling a moocher to stuff it.
Sorry, but I can’t stand players who have an entitlement mentality. Thankfully we have delves for leveling gear and most raid transmogs these days are so butt ugly that I havent cared about them in awhile.
I may or may not have allegedly thought about saying things like that to people, and I allegedly have never been actioned either, but there is always a way to tempt fate.
Doesn’t matter the reason you need loot, even if you have green gear equipped, some people will feel they need your loot more than you do.
I’ve had all sorts of reasons like “I’m going to raid a higher difficulty than you, so trade me pls” and all I can think is… this is LFR, lol. LFR gear is not that serious.
That’s what can get you suspended, though. Better to let them seethe. They get so mad when you put them on ignore. lol
It’s definitely possible if you’re reported by them. See: CS forum for those complaints of “they were mean to me first, I just tried to defend myself and got sanctioned!”
