From what I can see, we have the largest number of guilds/players being recorded on logs. Maybe Pagle has a higher overall population, but it can’t be by much.

Try leveling an alt. Finding a group for a leveling dungeon is a brutal undertaking.

Participate in AV, you get some nice rewards. Join a premade; it’s not hard.

Molten Core is easier than the dungeons, there is no need for pre-raid BiS BS loot, simply understand your class and gear accordingly on via the AH and some loot from PVP and you’re easily on your way.

Don’t expect it to ever get any better. This wasn’t much of a problem in Vanilla because of the constant new growth of the playerbase.

This was the argument against doing ‘Classic’ or other versions for so many years from Blizzard. I really hope things turn around for Classic because I really want my TBC servers and it will not happen if Classic falters so early on.

well yes once you have missed the first,second,third,fourth,fifth,Sixth,Seventh wave of players leveling your pretty much left with the scraps off the heap now.

also as the waves of leveling players went on you could tell the quality of what they knew also went down, no more melee/spell cleave, people expecting tanks to be specced prot… and healers to be specced Holy Resto…

First Wave a players ran through dungeons 4 warriors and a Enhancement shaman in healing gear, or 3 Mages Warlock and priest spell cleaving. As the 3rd and 4th wave of players moved through the cries abut 2hnd tanking and LF Tank for spell cleave groups started rising (as these players couldnt pull it off). But now dungeons are dead if your not paying for a carry.

You can get decent stuff from quest that are enough to start pvp reping with and MC ONY. Still see DM runs BRD runs UBER etc runs on Pagle. Not every second d like before but still lots

Worst part is even if you get a group, you are not getting people who know how to do stuff like torches in BRD, so it’s almost pointless to group for anything advanced, unless you personally want to micromanage your group.

Somewhat true. Most people finished getting gear from dungeons that they need.
Others are busy PVPing.
A large number of people already have most of their MC/Ony gear and are raid-logging as it is.

Just try your best to make friends who might be in the same boat as you and need to run stuff.

Vanilla was designed to be a one shot game. The designers did not implement any sort of flow through mechanics that took into account a continuous arrival of new players.

Hit 60 first. You’re right that not many are doing WC and SFK every hour.
I see LFG/LFM posts for BRD, Strat Live/UD, School, LBRS, UBRS, BRD, DM E/W/N, and even Mara Princess runs every single night that I’m online. I also still see posts for Test of Skulls quests, Defenders of Darrowshire, and other world elite quests that reward gear.
