How am I supposed to respond to peoples comments in a post when I am so limited in response time?

I create a post to provide feedback to the game developers. This is amazing, this is a player giving you their perspective in the game which is valued input.

Other players have a chance to disagree, the developers have a chance to disagree, and with the response functionality they even can respond with a written perspective!!! This is next generation technology (just kidding).

Except, I can’t even respond to peoples individually perspective because of an arbitrary post limitation. Someone, who is not diligent in what they do, and who has not thought about the ramifications has made an arbitrary rule on post #. This arbitrary rule is poorly created, as I can’t even provide my perspective.

This should be fixed. It should have never existed. The job of a game developer is to understand perspectives of gamers, and implement changes that a gamer would like. Both old and young gamers have a voice, and that voice is being cut off by incompetence in the forums.

IF u found a bug on the website u want to post here.

Just to note you wont get feedback from teh developers they wont communicate with u the feedback is collected.

you don’t need to spam posts by responding to each poster individually.

there is no limit to how many people you can respond to in a singular post.

(sorry to quote you and drag you back) :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
Just wanted to show that it’s possible to respond to more than one person in a singular post

there is no rule, only spam prevention.

Everything you said is arbitrary and doesn’t respond to the argument made by my post.

They have an arbitrary “rule” that prevents responses. It is not good for the game, it is not good for discussion. Anyways, I have made my point.

“They” didn’t make the forum software. Don’t like it, lean to use it correctly or go gripe at Discourse.

Are you getting an error message when making a response. Try not to mistake a bug with maliciousness.

I suspect its the uve replied to this thread too quickly try giving other users the chance to reply.

The second reply to your post was the answer to your concern.
For example (sorry to quote you after you quoted someone else).

I understand it’s annoying (I’ve ran into the limit myself) but all you have to do is just reply to multiple people in the same post. I can see why they have this restriction to cut down on spam.

So nothing is stopping you from responding to everyone. The only restriction that I am aware of is that you can’t reply to a post if the last reply to a post is already your reply. If you need to add more, just edit your previous reply. If someone else replies you can then reply to them after. (Someone please correct me if I’m wrong)

Literally the only thing this does is prevent people from posting to the same thread multiple times in a row. Also if you post on the forums a lot you can get the ability to reply multiple times in a row though I tend to try to avoid doing so just to help prevent clutter.

Are you unable to quote multiple people in the same reply? Or do you not know how?
If you highlight part of someone’s post it gives you the “quote” option. Hit that and it will insert the highlighted text and also ping the player you’re quoting so they know you replied to them.
Replying to multiple people in one post is the same as replying to multiple people using multiple posts from a practical standpoint, but it helps cut down on spam.

You don’t do them one by one, you merge them all into a single post by quoting the part you’re replying to like I just did just now. It’s enough to ping them to let them know they’ve been replied to. Forum spam would get absolutely out of control if they removed the anti-spam limitations.

You can even edit posts to add responses to comments you didn’t address, so it’s not like you have to figure it out all at once.

I disagree. These limits tend to be in place for a reason, such as spam prevention. While you may feel they are arbitrary, they didn’t happen because the Forum Developers (not game developers, they have no real involvement in forum development and implementation) like imposing limits. They happen because they are sometimes necessary.

Hopefully, you can work within the current iteration of the forums.

Additionally, if you have feedback for the Game Developers you can also submit that feedback through the Submit a Suggestion option in-game under the Support menu.
