How am I supposed to pug

the level caps only work if there is a large influx of new endgame content ontop of them, otherwise people get bored of the cap more or less instantly, sod is famous for having the quickest phases in the history of wow and it still wasn’t fast enough

the botters/rmters have soooo many mages just sitting there waiting to be executed and a new one to take their place and earn gold before execution. You die a hero class or live long enough to become the villain class

plz sir i cast 5 frostbolts and didn’t bid on upgrades i need payout

if sod proves anything there’s a tremendous appetite for more and more raid content and not an appetite for much else. The “running around the world” stuff was barely popular amongst people getting runes for their first char, nevermind the 2nd, the player base is just obsessed with end game raids and they don’t care about almost anything else

if that sleeping bag didn’t have some exp candy and rested xp associated with it, no one would have done it

I think there is also massive demand for fresh.

They should just do a fresh server every 6 months and dump it into Era at end of phase 2. No changes.

Puzzle hunting is massively successful on retail. I’m not sure why SoD didn’t receive the same success for it. Perhaps it was too regimented and not theory-crafty enough?

and blizzard has a huge blame in that if you look at how wow has changed over the years.it went from being about the journey “ taking months to level in vanilla etc” to heirlooms and leveling being a joke and they made the game all about the endgame.

it’s called “spirit of classic”. Get used to it.

Its a great question, my guess is that most of sod’s players come from other classic servers like the current mop servers which were wotlk back then and a lot of the lapsed players are probably also classic players that returned.

Retail has had time to create these sort of more niche collector / achievement point etc communities while classic hasn’t because most of the collector stuff isn’t in the game yet, we’ve only had transmog under 2 years etc, so the type of player you have in your game is more likely to be someone who cares about killing raid bosses

Welcome to the pro gdkp family OP

That’s funny. A guild member was commenting on how smooth a run we had of what our raid lead considered a scuffed run. He made that comment because of how bad Anniversaey Raiders are. I am told its hell to raid there.

When I zone into BG’s on literally any character… For the most part I ignore the no-name players damage because they despite gear dont do any on average. When I say no name players, I am not taling about rando joe orc in greens, but the decked out R14 I have never seen before.

Yeah, we saw how corrupt anniversary players are.. You guys dont PvP, you cant raid for crap, you are corrupt in your dealings and buy more gold per player than all other wow versions put together.

You will go to your sr run where you can buy extra sr’s with flasks and douses, where all boes and that item you really want are HR by the raid lead.

If you don’t like SR, good news, you can go to a raid and just buy the item!

Don’t want to do that? You can join a guild that requires running every raid tier every week, and you can be last on prio for every item!

Oh, don’t forget if you run in that guild you need to have your mandatory world buffs and consumes, costing you 500-1k per week. Hope you like jump runs or boosting in stockades!

That’s the thing, you don’t.

Be careful with this topic.

A CM went out of their way to lock my post with the exact same question, albeit I had a little more tact.

I wonder why asking about pug scene on anniversary is such a controversial topic. It didn’t seem to be such a problem in other version of classic.

You’re supposed to whisper the raid lead and ask them to buy an HR for gold. Some will even take real money for the item.

Or start your own SR raid, HR the items you want, spend 5 hours trying to fill group and fail to full clear.

That’s because on mega servers you don’t have to be held accountable for being horrible. You join a pug SR, “play” terrible but still get to roll on your SRs. Never have to go with that group again find another pug. Rinse and repeat.

Or in a worse case, start a raid group, steal loot or change loot rules mid run etc. Rinse and repeat because you most likely won’t see those people again.

I have had this happen in SR’s in ZG several times and this is what sold me on GDKP.

Funny I have only had ONE bad GDKP and it was run by a Jaja mage who was pissed because I did not buy the ZG set for my T3 pala… like WTF even buddy.

You’re told it’s hell - you have no first hand knowledge of anything - yet it’s awful to raid there and you got scammed there.

Kay.

End game raiding was so awesome blizzard paid everyone $60 to do it :joy:

A few fimes in SR’s and that is when I gave up on SR pugs… and once GDKP all happened to be in ZG.

I trust my guild members over you any day.
