ANY housing would be an improvement. Instanced apartments that are easily accesible by anyone followed by housing plots in the real world would be perfect.
Well, not REAL WORLD haha you know what I mean.

yes of course we do, will they do it is another thing entirely (i highly doubt they will)
Housing would ensure that I stay with WoW forever, if done right. And by that I mean it isnât immediately dropped after an expansion for some new gimmick, which is part of whatâs frustrating me lately. If we had housing that exists outside of the realm of expansion releases, something that persists and is built upon each expansion with new pieces, furniture, etc., then WoW would have me until the servers shut down. Housing is what attracts me to FF14 because I want something to matter outside of raiding and dungeons.
That was the point of garrisons I thought? Wows version of it?
Least as close as itâll get and they bungled that.
I dont think they can implement it right.
Being a current player myself, if its not out in public, that means you only found it by looking for it.
So why were you looking for/engaging in such âcreepyâ behavior?
I want housing in wow not because I want housing in wow but because as a collector I assume itâll give me more things to collect
Hold upâŚwhat happens in Goldshire?
I used to play Runescape, and its player housing feature was instanced. All you had to do was set your house to be publicly accessible, and anyone that knew your characterâs name could enter it. The garrisons in WoW are instanced, and the only thing required to allow others to visit it is to be grouped with the âownerâ.
Itâs not exactly unlimited public access, butâs itâs workable.
I feel like housing would be a repeat of the high elf situation.
High elf situation:
Housing
I only want others to have housing, so I can call the city on every little thing they didnât pull permits for.
I suspect the ratio of players that care about housing is close to the ratio of regular servers to role play servers.
They just really really really care.
I totally want housing.
Iâd much rather a guild hall, players can have their own room to customize in the hall but everybody siloed off in their own instance doesnât sound great to me.
Do you really care what people do in their own houses? Housing could help Goldshire on some servers.
I think housing in WoW is a really bad fit. However, my stance on housing has changed: if enough people want it, and management decides to add it to the game, more power to 'em. The game is filled with unhappy players, and if housing is the thing that makes them happy, then just make 'em happy.
Same reason that I sometimes go to GS⌠to laugh at them
The people in the WoW department at Blizzard donât have the competency or capability to successfully implement Housing. I mean, have you seen the game lately?
Sadly, themâs the breaks.
Thereâs a really good post on this here
True, it would be an absolute train wreck. You would have to Torghast for drapes and counter tops or 2200 arena rating for a couch.
They would find a way to screw it up.
Iâm not worried goldshire would leak into player housing Iâm more worried about everyone sitting in their own little instance home making the world feel dead.
Housing is a niche audience and would take away development time from the things that are actually proven to bring players back like dungeons and raids. We tried housing in WOD it didnât work
