The premade issue was an issue because only one faction could reliably do it. The better solution would have been to remove the restriction on premades and let both factions queue as a 40 man raid.
Removing the incentive for one faction to queue was the worst possible decision.
They added 5 man queues for both sides.

Allies are throwing a fit realizing they can’t premade anymore, they will come back to AV when they realize its still their best honor.
They can always put in the Horde vs Horde pvp mode if things get too out of control.
Basically, just wait and see.
From what i’m hearing is that alliance are getting a hidden 5+ minute que timer as well, so it’s not instant anymore.
If queue times were seen as an issue they’d just add mercenary mode. Queue times are not an issue.

Horde vs. Horde isn’t a horrible idea. But that would also be contra-classic, so would be a lot of pushback.

Well AV Queues on horde side have been slowly climbing, so something needs to be done to remedy it. 1 hour+ is silly, and I see it continuing to rise.
The fact you lot can even offer that up with a straight face is beyond me. Why do you even play this game?
My games range from 25-40 minutes anyway, what’s a 5 minute wait. Also awesome because now I’ll queue off the list to make sure I don’t end up in an already jacked up game.
The only important number is the queue time tomorrow night … since that will be peak time on a non-raid night.
And listing AV queue times without WSG queue times doesnt give us the full picture.
I’m told by guildmates WSG is about 5min or so
Which is like a 70% decrease.
Still, not drawing any conclusions until Wednesday night comes and goes.
Why is it horrible?
What you expect would happen to your queues when you killed alliances ability to premake? Alliance premades created 1000’s of AV a day. Which is 1000’s less you’ll have today. Expect 2 hour queues unless you move over to WSG.
But then you’ll need to form your own premades to win… oh and you’ll have to deal with pally + Druid combos.

No. I would just retire this toon to a pve server and reroll horde on a pvp server if they dropped merc mode. No reason to be alliance on a pvp server when i can just ezroll horde and get to eat my cake too.
Plus you would have horde rankers messing with other horde rankers.
Yes, the premades moved to WSG. Go there. Should warn you, if you go in without 9 of your buddies on discord, alliance premades will farm you 10 kills each then cap
What cake? You guys cry about Horde racials all day. Merc mode is simply to balance the queue times a little. No harm at all.
