Hotfix July 14 -- Horrific Visions

That’s actually a MAJOR difference. Before when you had both the fear circle, and the ghosts, you could get surrounded and, “if the terrain was bad,” you’d literally be stuck there until a fear circle spawned under you and went off. That one second means you can get out before the circle goes off.

I’m undead so i just get feared and WOTF it, and my DH can just jump over the ghosts, but other classes/races probably got recked by that combo.

Also they halved the disorient effect which is great. Sometimes it was actually better to choose to get hit by it to avoid other mechanics, but it was overly punishing being cc’d for 4 seconds.

I will say I find the timing of this odd. I’ve had some time to think about it tonight while I do other things, and I’ll be honest, this information isn’t new. The affixes timers and all of that is nothing new either. I find it strange it’s being hot fixed randomly, and now.

So its faster to run into them without an exit than waiting for them to despawn… good grief

Actually, you’ve decreased the value of the game through your participation. Failing to question bad design decisions doesn’t make you a good player, it makes you a statistic they can point to that proves they don’t have to try hard to sell games to people, because people like you don’t care about the quality of the game.

People like the person you told to stop playing actually care about the state of the game and want to see it improved. Maybe you should stop playing, and the game will get better for those of us who want to see that happen.

Blizz wants people to faceroll the content. Why not just give free Malefic Cores?

Corrupted Gear used to be a random drop like a titanforge proc. Now Corrupted Gear has guaranteed drops at the end of Vision run. Now, Corrupted Gear is being sold by an NPC. Everyone now has access to BiS Corruption allowing everyone to faceroll the content.

People aren’t running them as much anymore. Burn out.

That seems irrelevant to nerfing it.

It reeks of them pandering to people you can’t handle two easy mechanics…

I feel like you are being sarcastic but aren’t factoring that that’s a 16% nerf and that damage/healing is calculated per second. 1 second in this game is a objectively a long time.

Or appear on a small ramp going up or down

It’s more than a 16% nerf. Imagine getting a 16% nerf. You’d be upset.
Also, damage and healing (the general metric of how you are performing) are calculated per second, adding more value than just the time spent.

Meh, leaden foot was a player awareness issue, definitely was already the easiest lost area affix to manage if you pay attention to what you’re doing. Reducing split personality clone duration is fine, but don’t think the daze duration needed nerfing. Let challenging content stay challenging.

this is a really odd time to nerf these - after the announcement that corruption is going away in the pre patch why would most people even bother doing these?

Ok, now do Alleria, I was clearly behind the pillar yet took 240 sanity damage, TWICE. and blew a 5 mask.
Probably would have been a piece with mastery on it anyway and vendor junk.
grr. Stupid SW.

This is exactly why I stopped doing visions after like my third one.

Only BfA changes I’d find useful at this point are removing the corruption vendor rotation, increasing echo gains and allowing us to buy essences whether we’ve had them or not.

Just remove the key cost of visions. Let people just do them, they’re gated in various ways already so having a key was pointless to begin with.
