Hotfix for next patch

  1. Players that die 2-3 times in 30 seconds of each death can now forfeit match without “Kitty debuff”. The rules for insufficient players on a team will stand, and all “Honor points” and rewards for playing unfairly by violating will be rescinded through the system.
  2. Graveyard holdups can, will be punished through in game report function.
  3. There will be a better way to report battleground bullies…

So if an undergeared person ques into a game and gets clapped a few times they can leave without penalty… and then the winning team, who has zero control over any of this, has their rewards yanked?

Just making sure I understand you correctly.

Don’t hold your breath, graveyard camps have been a thing since BGs have been a thing.

“better way to report” what does that even mean? There is already report functions.

What is a “battleground bully”? Do you just mean someone who kills you over and over? Or someone exploiting or something?

How about a different change - let the honor be banked and distributed at the end, weighted towards players who remained for the full match. It is kinda honorable to remain and sacrifice yourself in the face of greater force.

The more they cry about graveyard camping, the more I want to do it.

wtf is even that?

PVP is NOT a safe space. Get Good or Get dead.

Imagine I go in Mythic Raiding and complain about too many swirlies on the floor.

Bait used to be believable.

no just add hidden MMR to BGs

a greater force is abusing other players who want an equal play without loseing conquest over and over. you only get purple for winning…

Media literacy is dead. The OP is very clearly satire.

I think all honor should be given at the end of a match. Those who quit early get nothing. Those who backfilled get full honor as if they had been in the match the entire time.
Also remove honor from kills and buff honor from objectives to compensate.

We have rated for that. In the end, it’s the players on the low end of that that would have the worst experience. Would be no different than low MMR blitz matches.

I just don’t think the player base is big enough for mmr to really work in random battlegrounds, and epics have too many players to make mmr actually useful.

Even in the 8v8 format of blitz it’s causing very long queues (though that’s more a fault of a lack of healers I think).

That as well. BGs should be a melting pot of players, both good and bad. Bad players get better by playing better players. I think people seem to forget that.

Or you could just practice and get better at the game.

Having hidden MMR can still allow BGs to be a melting pot of different skill levels
It would just ensure there are good players in both teams, and if a 5 man premade of 2400 rated players want to play unranked BG together, then they better prepare to wait for infinite queue time (hint: they should play rated instead)

If that’s how it’s being used, that’s fine, but that typically isn’t the ask.

I think keeping it more simple to just balancing gear would go a long way. That and removing queue sync premades or forcing them to fight each other.

Cross faction, put groups vs other similar size groups, loose item level balancing between teams within a match, role balancing.
Simple stuff that would go a long way.
