So for some reason I can’t use spells or abilities that I assign to a hotbar on my characters. I have to use my spellbook for some reason, but it only happens with my warlock and priest. On this shaman I can use my hotbars just fine but I can’t with my other characters. Does anyone know what could cause this and how to fix it? I’ve disabled my addons as well as relogged and restarted WoW but no idea what is causing it.
do you see the button 'go down" when you press it or is it not responding to the click at all?
mouse-clicking the hotbar or keybind?

Yeah the buttons will click or “go down” but they wont respond. I’ve got to use the spellbook
that’s… bizzare. we are talking about casts that meet all conditions, right? such as the target is eligible, in range, not out of line of sight etc.
it sounds like an addon or some other error is messing with it - sometimes after patch day in classic one of my addons does that to me too where even the mouse wont work right.
turning off all addons always fixes it for me though…
when did it start? today?
started today. Just made the warlock as something to do while waiting for my shaman to get rested exp. Go to cast shadow bolt and the mob is in range but it just wont register I’m pressing the hotkey.
i’m going with ‘patch borked something’…
perhaps the repair tool might help?
Are you using add-ons? I’d try disabling them all. Check to see if it works. Enable one at a time and re-check.
i had this problem this morning, i couldnt get out of shadow form when i pressed it on the bar.anyways i went to av, died and when i rezzed the bar was working again maybe dying does something
Not an optimal solution but I would suggest going into keybinds and rebinding everything to its default to see if it fixes anything.
