Hot take: TWW isnt good. For me personally

Hot take but I dislike this expansion. I cant exactly wrap my finger around exactly what it is but I quit Dragonflight about halfway because I got bored and I already feel the same with this Expansion. I am not vibing with the theme, I dont like the zones and the hero talents feel bland and while getting a new ability feels cool its not enough for me personally to keep me around. I already feel the burnout again and to be completely honest, this feels like its just Dragonflight 2.0.

Theres really not even that much to look forward too for me either because M+ isnt new and I dont care about new dungeon rotations, once you clear the raid once okay? I dont know wtf is wrong with me maybe I am coming to an end with my WoW era idk. Am I the only one who feels like this? Before you tell me to take a break, I did and it was a long one.

It sounds like you just need to play something else man and save yourself the hassle and stress of trying to make yourself enjoy something you obviously grew out of awhile ago.

No way!

They’re the same experience, brother. This is the modern WoW design. Shadowlands into DF into TWW. This is how WoW is now. If you hated Dragonflight what made you think you’d like TWW? It’s the exact same gameplay loop, crafting system. zone navigation and completion, and with the exception of delves, the exact same end-game progression (vault tracks, mythic+, raid, rated PvP etc).

It sounds like you hate modern WoW. According to subscriber numbers, most people seem to. WoW had 12mil concurrent subs in Wrath and now it struggles to maintain 1.8mil, with dips as low as 700,000 mid expansions. Play Classic, or play Final Fantasy.

Maybe you are right, sick mog as well brother.

Yeah you just might not like WoW anymore.

Not a big deal. There’s plenty of games out there.

Thats the thing though, I love my Druid and I love combat and no other mmorpg like WoW. I just wish the loop wasnt the exact same everysingle expansion. Everything is the exact same, has been for so many years.

It’s the same game :dracthyr_shrug:

There’s only so much you can shake things up without pissing off the people who actually like it the way it is.

I dunno about the entire xpac, but I had a really annoying questing experience last night.

These quests man… I’m trying to get Renown 4 in Ringing Deeps and it’s just like…
“Okay, repair this thing!” That’s all the quest says, repair this thing. Okay… Turns out it was one of those timed things where the NPC tells you what to click next, I didn’t even realize it.

Then the next quest right after that, “go release the pressure!!!” Wtf does that even mean? Oh I have to fly on the mount next to the pipes and you just auto throw stuff, okay…

Next quest: rearrange these pipes in this puzzle.

Next quest: do 6 Kobold granny scenarios in a row, never knowing when it’s going to end. They’re not even good either, you just go click some random thing and then rocks fall on you. Wtf is this.
That was just irritating, that was not fun.
“Rearrange this titan console panel matrix” as my Weak aura suite is just covering half the puzzle, nice…

Yeah at this point you either like the gameplay loop, don’t like the gameplay loop, or once liked the gameplay loop but are burned out. Not much is probably going to change about it so if you’re not feeling up to more of the same ole WoW then you might be over it. Whatever you do, just make sure it’s something you enjoy doing.

There’s still delves for you to do or PvP if that’s your jam. But I honestly have to ask… what is it that you actually WANT to do? You say you like the combat and I agree. Combat’s great. But you don’t want to do raids or dungeons and presumably you’d rather do PvE instead of PvP… so how do you actually want to engage with the combat system if you don’t want to do any of the combat content?

Similar feeling… and saw professions stayed the same… and delves were underwhelming and so I am kind of glad I got a refund.

I came back from a long break as well and TWW feels like just another season and not a full expansion. I can’t figure it out yet but I don’t get the same feeling of newness and joy that the other expansion launches have given me.

I think it is because there really isn’t anything new mechanic wise. Delves, dragon flying, the dwarf recolor, hero talents all seem stale and recycled. Also, most of the zones seem empty for an expansion launch. Has Blizz annouced sales number yet?

This isn’t the first time I’ve heard people say the zones feel empty. I’m still trying to decide how populated they feel.

I saw the same dude last night when I was questing, we obviously we were doing the same quests, but he’s like the only person I saw.
Need to play a bit more, I’ve been doing gathering too. I did help someone kill an elite but it was just me and 1 other person, not exactly densely populated.

It sounds like you just don’t enjoy modern WoW. Nothing wrong with that, there’s a ton of other good games out there to play!

I’ve loved it up until now so that is weird. Granted, post-Legion I tend to play the beginning and end seasons and ignore the middle. But I always love the first couple of months of any new expansion. This one just isn’t doing it for me yet. When the raid/M+ starts I’ll probably become more invested.

Literally 7 million but okay think what you want

I think this is a mixture of “launch hype” gutted by bifurcating the community with early access and the extreme time gating on meaningful content we’re seeing.

I think without early access, and with raids, mythic+ and rated PvP releasing September 2nd instead of 10th, you’d feel differently.

This definitely feels like the most lackluster “womp womp” launch in my nearly 20 years of WoW.

For an MMO, it feels unpopulated. Where is everyone?

it’s not a hot take. thr majority has said it’s good not great. it’s lacking something. just doesn’t have that excitement.
