It’s known that you are biased towards feral/hunters/ret paladins ( I mean who is not) basically everything which pairs well with hunter. But Ret is indeed very if not too strong atm. You can kill druids SOLO in bearform through barkskin in just 1 hoj.
And Yes this sentence is indeed true the “how can i avoid that better” but it had truth in expansions when not everything was dumbed down and pruned down. Today you deal with it or not. Nothing you will and can do about that.
Also Rets do not have bad mobility. They actually have better mobility than DKS and are basically equal to Warriors with horse>charge freedom>leap and some abilites aka hoj being an range ability gives you also room to connect.
The only one thing Ret is lacking compared to other plate wearers is self sustain and defensives but even then they got a decent hand full of it (bubble/bop/SoV) and let’s not forget their utility.
All in all Ret is in a sleeper mod atm actually OP but is getting hold back just slightly by the current meta.
