The world server went down during the progress of many horrific visions and wasted 10,000 coalescing visions for many people. I submitted a GM ticket and got the response of we can’t track who got disconnected from the vision and to go to the forums about what happened?
Is there any way I can get compensation of my vision loss?
Also understand, world server down is not a universal occurrence, and at best may only be happening to a couple hundred people at any time. It is simply when your specific path to that part of Blizzard’s servers has experienced an interruption.
I’m sorry, Warderlan, but no. I understand that a number of folks may have been impacted but our staff is simply not able to help in this situation. Sorry.
Why dont they just refund the currency? 3 times already I have lost a vessel without rewards of any kind… basic generic responce from customer service… no timeline as to when this will be fixed! and go farm some more ! … farm more? so it can just eat that too? set your players up for failure and watch how fast your numbers fall even more… I see death in the future of this game the way its cust service takes care of its Customers…numbers are dropping and I might just be one of them soon.
The biggest issue is that the system doesn’t distinguish between a genuine disconnect or someone pulling the plug on their modem during a run that they didn’t like / wasn’t going so well.
Customer service has never meant give customers everything they want. There are always limits.
This functions much like the Withered Army Training from Legion where for the most part, we simply can’t tell why you may not have been able to complete a Horrific Vision. If you disconnected or had a technical issue or simply shut off your computer. I know that seems silly, but folks disconnect for any number of reasons, some of them purposeful, but many of them having everything to do with events outside of our servers. Devoting resources to reimburse every single person who may have experienced an issue isn’t really feasible.
It is also important to note that there really isn’t anything that can be “fixed”. Disconnections happen and the causes can vary. If there was a known issue (bug), that we found to be causing an issue, our QA and Dev teams would work to resolve the issue. There doesn’t seem to be one that we’re aware of.
I wasn’t here this morning, but I do understand that we saw some issues with realms and yes, that appears to be entirely on our side. Even in that situation there is little that we can do, without completely dropping everything else. We aren’t generally able to tell what everyone was doing at the time without individual log searches. Our staff isn’t able to suddenly do those investigations and manually refund the vessels. It is unfortunate that these things happen, but it simply isn’t usually feasible to reimburse the loss.
I agree that limits are necessary but when …say the game itself is at fault and 6 days of game time are wasted due to this fact. some information as to having the issue resolved would be a great step. noone wants to continue trying to advance in content that isnt playable or just risking 2 days of game time for the chance the bug dosnt effect you this time. then because it does … customer service just says … sorry better luck next time go farm 2 more days for your chance at maybe it being fixed by then or just take your chances… so yeah…
I completely understand the disconnect in general I mean I have had a disconnect before and never complained because that is entirely my fault and in most cases people will try to get free vessels if they can, but in this instance the servers went down and there should be a way to manually track that and it is unfortunate that the staff either can’t or not enough to do that for every individual person. Thank you @Vrakthris for trying <3
the video i have both times are … stuck in an object, granted I get the disconnection issues could possibly be on any end. I took my loss on that one. but twice I was stuck into objects… no death… full sanity … just stuck… no unstuck options during the vision.
Historically, they have only restored items when they can no longer be earned.
If it were just a handful of players this might be feasible. It’s not the dozen or so players posting about it on the forum. It happened to thousands of players. There are millions of accounts. To check if they were in a horrific vision at the time of the disconnect would take weeks, even if they automated it.
