Tickets are worked around the clock by GM’s. That means, there’s 24/7 support.

This is incorrect. Otherwise your tickets would be answered instanteously. Often people confuse very formal templated answers from humans with AI chatbots nowadays.

Providing self-help options if available can drastically reduce waiting times for both you and GM’s such as the item restoration, mail restoration etc etc.

All GM’s work at Blizzard offices unlike meme jokes made about it.

Correction:

Vrakthris mentioned Blizz employees may also WFH. Which I applaud since it can be good working conditions instead of having to travel to work >:c nobody likes to be stuck in transit.

So to this issue you can just fill in through several methods like under payments, “Purchase failure/not listed here” or “not listed here” at the mail section. That’s already 3 options to fill tickets at.

I do think they use AI perhaps to optimise certain aspects, like the murloc chatbot that tries to funnel you into the correct help category. This doesn’t however “prove” your point earlier that GM’s are AI.

For example in the EU, other CS departments clearly state that their chatbots are AI before any chat. Whenever a chat is taken over by a customer support agent this is also stated.

That is correct. You agreed with my point that they have greatly improved helping customers with self help options.

Blizzard uses templates. They don’t use AI. They don’t use bots. It is real people responding to tickets using templates. Could you imagine typing the same thing over and over again to a lot of people?

You don’t need to try and contact support via in-game when you have mail on your character that you can’t log into when trying to transfer a character.

Well, I am glad we can at least agree that none of the things you listed are relevant to your issue. Your issue is that you have a problem with a Char Transfer Purchase.

To address these things:

They do, but that is a global statistic. The EU GMs cover tickets for the US during US night, and vice versa. The CS (GM) staff are mostly for Billing and Account issues for ALL Blizzard games, not just WoW. There is no WoW specific team, although there may be specialists for WoW on escalated tickets.

No. Please stop confusing everything involving a computer or automation with “AI”. They are not currently using a trained artificial intelligence model to assist. You would likely get much faster and better results if they were. They DO use some automation though. Again, not to be confused with AI. It is simple old fashioned keyword based template replies to some types of ticket when they have high queues. Usually common self help resources or common troubleshooting steps for a player to take. If that happens, you would re-submit under “need more help”.

The GMs do also use templates to answer things - just like old form letters. They are not going to manually type out the same thing hundreds of times a day.

Of course they do! They have millions of customers and hundreds of thousands of tickets across the games and services. They don’t want people waiting in line so they try to get through the line faster. They have tried to empower customers to help themselves without waiting. Many things that used to require a GM don’t anymore. Char restore, item restore, item buyback within two hours, Postmaster sending lost loot, mail restoration, unstuck tool, etc.

Again though, not relevant to your issue. You seem to need help with a purchase. Usually you put the ticket under Purchase Failure/Problem with a Purchase. Tell them what error message you are getting so they can assist.

If you wish to leave feedback for the higher ups to help improve the experience after each ticket with a Game Master, then do the survey after each ticket.

But I would advise against trolling the forums.

It is not going to help you getting your issue resolved if you chose to troll the forums.

What is your actual issue with your transfer? Try answering that and let’s see if we can’t get you pointed in the right direction before you lose your posting privileges.

If you’re not looking for help, then you’re welcome to provide feedback about your ticket via the survey attached to your ticket when you mark it complete.

Not sure what you’re hoping to accomplish here as it’s not going the way you might think it is.
