Horde vs Horde is not the solution. Free x-fers to Alliance is

I am a day 1 classic alliance player. Since the start we have been outnumbered, same faction bg’s are not the answer, it’s just a band-aid to the permanent problem of faction imbalance. There is a reason Alliance got special perks on TBC private servers, if you want to play horde and have the better racials and bigger pool of players to play with, you need to expect to have some consequences. Opening alliance x-fers will not only reduce que times, but will give the alliance a chance to be more competitive with a larger pool of players to play with.

Free? blizzard won’t do free.

You must be new, they have before. And free x-fers would result in saved sub $ from the people threatening to quit because of queue times.

Hold on, I got Skeram players on the phone. What’s that? Ok, they’re saying literally no one will transfer horde->alliance on a 99% horde PvP server. I’m being told only an idiot would do that. I tend to agree. What other suggestions might you have?

Stand in line.

No the true answer is balancing racials and free faction transfers with a cap from Horde to Ally.

This results in infinitely fewer server transfers and, when they open up faction transfers, far fewer of those as well. This is why Blizzard will never do it because it will result in a much healthier game overall.

They want to create problems or let problems manifest as a result of intentional neglect in order to SELL us solutions.

I agree, this should have been tried before putting in a “solution” that is not in any way authentic to TBC or even WoW as a whole.

Faction transfers added in WotLK (so not authentic but close)
Merc mode added in WoD (not authentic but at least a thing done in WoW)
Same faction vs same faction (absolutely nothing like WoW at all. Except areans, where there is LORE for it, and there is zero lore for it in BGs other than some really bad made up reason)

LOL i think you are the new one here. Other then a xfer off a large populated server. They have never done anything like this.

They need to just change that to a PVE server already. That’s all it is.

stop being selfish dude, shut up.
Vanilla classic was 51% 49% in favor of the alliance originally. asmongold, madseason and a few other streamers proved this (all alliance players btw)

a recent video was made showing that alliance players in general just dont like to pvp. now the faction imbalance is 40-60 horde… but of those 40% alliance only 40ish% of them pvp. of the 60% horde around 90% of them pvp . it has always been like this in classic. bad q times for horde because alliance dont like to pvp.

and btw no horde xfers to alliance over pvp… i know a lot of people that Only pvp and have quit wow rather than go allaince, and those same people recently resubbed for the new Que times.

stop spreading fake bs on what you “THINK” people will or are doing, rather use data to see what is going on.

They have never done anything like this before either (mercenary mode)

yeah okay OP lemme just reroll alliance on servers that are 80:20 horde:alliance, so that I cannot go anywhere in the open world without getting corpse camped

great solution

We know that’s not going to be a thing after this weekend.

blizzard devs aren’t interested in an actual, long-lasting solution. just a quick, hacky and easy fix. it’s how stupid people address problems

That server just needs to be merged with heartseeker.

some servers being too far gone doesn’t mean it won’t work for other ones

Sure for you… but what about the people who have no interest in being Alliance? Why is it fair to force them to alliance… they chose Horde for whatever reasons.

People keep saying this. it’s said on repeat by many horde players.

Yet when I rolled my alliance alt in Classic and PVPed I ran into MULTIPLE and I mean dozens of people on my server who either also played horde as well or rerolled to alliance from horde for PVP.

Some of it was queue times, some of it was something else.

The people who say this kind of thing don’t know what they’re talking about because they assume everyone thinks like them. Yet I’ve both done it and seen it.

There would have been a tipping point where these queues balanced themselves out but that never was allowed to happen and so far no other solutions have been tried.

Guess you didn’t play WOD when they introduced this because of the same issue

Let me tell you a story, this actually happened. it was a few expansions ago.

I forget who actually started it, but a couple of big streamers where tired of hearing “alliance suck at pvp” so a lot of streamers decided to transfer to the alliance and do arena.
It didn’t take them long to figure out, the real pvp’rs are horde.
This is what they noticed… there are some good players and there are bad players on both sides, but the pool size of good players was much higher on the horde side.
These streamers said that it was difficult to find people to play high level arena or bgs with. within 2 or 3 months most the streamers had transferred back to the horde.

bottom line… alliance in general dont like to pvp, there is a forum post right now from an alliance member talking about how he hasnt played any alliance teams over this weekend and he can only assume from that is that there are no alliance interested in pvp.
