Seriously man this was what KILLED the BGS entirely. Does this guy work for Blizzard or something? He is every reason why this game failed and is in steady decline LOL. I haven’t posted on here in decades and I come back to this trash. No wonder the game is on life support. On that note ive been in the que for days on this server. Not a single BG popping at all at lower tiers NOTHING. ITS DEAD. That is even with the BG servers ALL connected and still DEAD. This game used to be thriving at any time of day any tier. Listening to people like this is the EXACT reason this game is where it is.

What killed BGs was waiting in 30-45 minute queues. I quite enjoy my sub 2 minute queues on both factions.

What’s funny about this thread is the OP’s hypocrisy against LFD all while at the same time, praises the automated queue system that is random BGs.
What about the immersion that was killed from the horde vs alliance culture?
Did those players not have a right to a say about the change?
Guess not. Your precious fast queues were more important than preserving the factional rivalry that had been building up since classic.

When you play horde Vs horde one of the teams wears alliance masks so the faction rivalry stays intact the gnomes just got really big and furry

HvH is excellent and has zero impact on the game.
Just get ready for WOTLK when the PvPers are all Alliance and its AvA BGs.

I stopped playing BGs over this. First, because I won’t play HvH because I’m trying to play World of Warcraft and it wrecked my immersion, fine that’s personal and doesn’t fit with most people.
So I switched to the alliance that gets AvA only rarely but ultimately what I found is that the battlegrounds are so incredibly low quality that there was no point in playing them because my real life time is better used doing anything else. Everyone on both sides is about the marks/hour leading to tons of giving up. It makes the games as low quality and boring to me as possible. The people who love this probably themselves do not do BGs for fun and fit right into that “Give up and let them win mentality” so of course, they have fine with them because it’s all about instant gratification and quantity > quality. No fun allowed.
Anyway I think the OP is just trying to troll the RDF people with this second thread he made but I wanted to say that anyway.

yeah he is trying to troll but he reminded me that blizzard said they’d readdress horde vs horde bgs in wotlk, obviously horde vs horde and alliance players playing as horde players with masks on is against the spirit of classic and that seems to be their “design philosophy” atm - spirit of classic, no rdf etc, i’d love to see them remove hvh bgs, i would love to see the gymnastics that people do to be anti rdf but pro hvh

They have a right, sure—but Blizzard disagrees I guess.
And yes, being able to play BGs in a timely manner is more important than faction rivalry IMO…that’s what WPvP is for. You can agree or disagree…that’s your opinion. There’s no right answer.
You’ll probably see more Alliance queuing in Wotlk than you do now.
