There is a lot of nuance that is lost in a game world locked so tightly to two factions. Nuance I am able to write with Sarsi that she cannot depict in the game mechanics.
In her lore, Sarsi has an Orcish name, Lohn’osh. It means Hero’s Heart and it was given to her by an Orcish woman because Sarsi stood beside them to depose Garrosh.
She criticized the Alliance for murdering fleeing horde trying to get to shore before they drowned. And when that fell on deaf ears, she and her girlfriend deserted the Alliance in Pandaria. When her commander found hed, Sarsi was forced to kill him to save the aforementioned orc woman’s life.
She and her Orcish ally sought out Vol’jin’s rebellion. She fought at the Siege of Orgrimmar.
She loves Stromgarde, she loves Arathi, but she also loves peace between alliance and horde and believes they are not nearly as evil anymore as they once were.
In game though, every single horde is marked as hostile, and she is depicted in quest text as loyal to the alliance and an enemy of the horde, and every time Sarsi would be like…
“What?”
