Horde retcon [spoiler]

People do you realize they are not taking Teldrassil out of the lore . It is out of the game and pretty much has been for all pf BfA.

The starter zone takes pace after the burning and between going out questing in BfA zones.

So, I’m not sure if you get this right…

But the goals of a civilization can change over time. You can decide, as a nation, that you want to focus on another thing, rather than sticking with the old. I mean, that’s how we decided slavery was bad. As nations, we changed direction and we said ‘Right, guys, slavery is bad, so we’re not going to do slavery anymore okay?’ and most of the world agreed with that (admittedly at different times).

So sure, back in the day the Forsaken did all these horrible things, but it doesn’t mean they can’t change the goal to something else, especially under new leadership, like say a former Princess of Lordaeron who is now undead and looking to show the Forsaken a better way forward…

Did you actually play the expansion at the start the Burning Of Teldrassil quest line you join Sylvanas burn down the tree and help her get through the night elf wall blocking the way in.

You also killed Ashenvale soldiers still recoiling from the initial attack on Ashenvale not to mention if you were a real bastard you could kill civies. then you join sylvanas then watch Saurfang Help her beat Malfurion by backstabbing him in a “honourable” duel then in freeing her burn the tree down

So yes, Saurfang did kill hundreds of night elf civies and kids and you could only skip this quest if you had already done it once before you had to do it at least once on 1 horde character before the option to skip it was added. Get over it. You’re the bad guys here.

Wait until we rescue all of the trapped Night Elven souls from the Maw and the Winter Queen returns them to life. Then we can discuss what Teldrassil stands for

  1. I play an alliance rogue on EU.

  2. "EVERYTHING SHOULD REVOLVE AROUND THIS ONE PLOT POINT BECAUSE IM MAD ONLINE :rage: "

Hey, if you enjoyed it, more power to you. Still can’t deny it existed. But you do you.

Nice counter argument. You got me.

I never denied it existed. Calm down.

Hey uhh, remember those Archeologists you killed in Voldun? Oh and the troll exiles who were completely independent of the Horde, but you still robbed them of what food and water they had. Oh, and don’t forget the Vulpera you tried to murder before they even considered joining the Horde.

And then there’s the spying on former allies, the racism by commanding officers, the slaughter of unarmed soldiers trying to avoid drowning. The enslavement of the Pandaren to build an airstrip…

Now I’m not saying the Horde are paragons of virtue, but you need to stop pretending that the Alliance are bastions of purity and honor, because they’re not.

I was never angry about it. I was just laughing at how bad Blizzard’s writing team are that they have to delete an entire storyline because the Horde’s feelings got hurt. You know what, I don’t like the fact Arthas makes the Alliance look bad they should just delete it.

Your argument has already been dismantled several times. You’re just outraged over a screenshot of a tweet. Just quit the game if it bothers you that much. You clearly don’t have the emotional capacity to get over this. It gets overused but you really should just stop, take a step back and go play a game with a narrative that fits with your standards and maintains honesty in it’s ethos.

Or just keep giving them those MAUs and whining in forums threads :upside_down_face:

I mean let’s just be real honest here. Both factions have blood on their hands. They’ve both done some extremely shady and distasteful things. No faction is completely innocent. Let’s not pretend that one is any better than the other.

I was never bothered by it. I was laughing at how bad the writing has become in that they have to erase an entire storyline because they can’t write themselves out of it. You’re the one who seems arseblasted about it. You responded to me first, Champ. You’re the one with the problem.

I bet you like Marvel movies.

Oooh, you got me with that one. OOOOOOOH, How will I ever recover from that sick burn?

So, that’s a yes.

No, I don’t actually. But you’re going to think I do anyway, so no matter what I say you won’t believe me. But you do you, Champ.

Let’s put our shared love of the dynamically written and universally praised Marvel movies to the side and completely focus on how the Forsaken are all TIRELESSLY…STRIVING…TO…PROTECT…THE LIVING.

Yes, no matter how stupid it sounds to normal mortal human ears, that is indeed the direction that Blizzard have decided to take this “story” in 2020.

Strap in!

Undead protecting the living guys. Good story guys. :upside_down_face:

Oh, I’m strapped in for this clown car ride.
