You just said it was 38 minutes, which it not an hour so more hyperbol. Regardless at one hour it’s still playable, you just have to wait.
PVE is the main game for WoW, pvp is a mini game so that’s an apple to oranges comparison. Either way, on horde dominated servers it can take 30+ minutes to get into dungeons when the entrances and entire zones leading up to it are camped. This happened during phase 2.
PvP is not a mini-game. PvE servers exist.
20 minutes? My queues are 34, 37, 38, 55 minutes for WSG, AB, EOTS, and AV in that order. It will get worse as alliance finish their instantaneous queue honor grind and we horde who are getting honor 5x slower will be queuing into nothing to finish our sets. Bring back same faction.
Lets see what queue times are at prime time and on the weekend. Of course queues are going to be longer in the middle of a week day when people are still at work.
The amount of people that opt into a pvp server, then are irrationally mad about being on a pvp server is pretty crazy
Not even kind of. Full stop, it’s cringe af. Imagine thinking you’re better than someone else because you decide to try a video game longer than someone else.
You may not consider mocking the people who work hard to bring us the goods and services we need in our everyday lives to be trolling, but it is incredibly small.
To be fair, if PvP was a main part of WoW, wouldn’t all forms of PVP be balanced on retail? It’s common knowledge that the only thing thats really balanced is 3v3 arena.

The amount of people who roll horde to pvp, knowing pvp is all they intent to do with long queues is pretty crazy.
Also we ALL KNEW queues would be long for horde. Alliance couldn’t predict their servers would get totally trashed at TBC with no caps or help from Blizzard with faction imbalances.
3v3 maybe, everything else? Nah.
Substantial difference between picking a in game race, and wanting access to core features of the game, and picking a PvP server, and being mad when someone attacks you.

I partially blame Blizzard for opening so many pvp servers at the start of classic. Shouldn’t be more than 5 or 6 tops. But I do agree with you, rolling on a pvp server in 2021 is as stupid as it gets.

You don’t need to worry about it, HvH queues are going to be put back in the game, there is nothing left to see.
When the word first surfaced, it took me a good year to even realise what people were trying to say. I was so confused for that year though.
Or just trying to get that one BiS piece locked in BGs. Or, they got all that is offered worth a dang from marks and honor and have no interest in Arena. All Arena gear is locked behind Arena only currency. BG’s get boring when there is nothing better to earn and you don’t like Arena.
People who rolled horde made a decision to play the overpopulated faction. It’s your problem.
Alliance who picked a balanced pvp server that got overrun by retail tourist zoomers had no way to predict that or make educated decisions. It’s simply a roll of the dice. Some servers weathered if fine, others did not and are dead and empty.
Many alliance have already stated on the forums of why they picked Alliance, no it wasn’t for balanced pvp servers.
